I used to read spoilers quite a while back (and have stumbled across some just searching different contestants/seasons) but I remembered Jenna won from reading it ages ago.

Finished Amazon! Probably my favourite season I’ve seen so far, the cast was just so compelling and I don’t think there was a single dull moment. This was old school survivor at its very best, there was strategy but it didn’t oversaturate the season and we had a lot of character building storylines too. Jenna is an amazing winner too

Amazon I think it's soooooo underrated because it's often thought of as good but it's legitimately one of the best seasons ever. Everyone always talks about Pearl Islands and Heroes vs. Villains and Cagayan () and Borneo when it comes to best seasons ever but Amazon is just nonstop chaos and hilarity and negativity in the best way possible.

RNO: What is your side of the situation which caused you to go off on Christy the way you did, to the point of sticking your hand in her face when you knew that the only way she could understand you was to read your lips?

JoAnna: As far a Christy goes, she was a thorn in my flesh. Christy was very vocal about her disagreement of my not wanting to touch the idol. She also held me personally responsible for the girls isolating her from the tribe... If you were listening to what I was saying, in addition to what I was doing, you would have understood from the episode – but then of course this would mean you actually wanted to understand??? –anyhow, there were several occasions that I was talking to Jeanne and Christy came and stuck her entire face between us and right in my face. My solution to this problem was to invite her face out of mine with my hand. The clip you see, the issue is being laid on the table because Christy is still talking about the idol, my stupidity (as if) and me putting my hand in her face. Outdone, I finally approached her and I reminded her that we agreed that she was going to let it go. It amazes me that you never see Christy harassing me????? But I guess it wouldn't have mattered because it would have been OK because she fell into a minority with her hearing – well I fell into several minorities – Christian, Strong, only single-parent, the sudden death of my mother DOROTHY VASSELL, but there was no pity for me – oh I forgot – I don't need pity. By the way did you notice above all else that Christy did not vote against me after I allegedly "went off on her." Makes you wonder??? Nobody voted against me at all that episode??? Then, when the did vote me off, I wasn't because of my faith, going off on people, mean, or rude??? Hmmm... I was just too strong… SPIRITUALLY, MENTALLY, and PHYSICALLY. Or maybe they just lied on national TV and said that I was just plain better – it amazes me how others try to formulate so many other reasons – I am a Mighty Woman of God. Come correct or don't come at all. It is hard to argue with absolute truth supported by evidence. Try something else – next. [RNO Note: While we obviously weren’t there, it does seem that perhaps Christy might have needed to “stick her face” in as reading lips is the only way she can understand what others are saying.]

RNO: We have seen Heidi and the other younger women talking to the cameras about being cute and all that – did they say something out in the open that caused you to lecture the younger women on beauty being only skin deep?

JoAnna: No, I had no idea they imagined somewhere in their finite minds that they could hold a candle to me in a pitch black dark room. I had no idea we were competing against each other in a beauty contest – if so then let the games begin.

I just finished Worlds Apart the other day! I didn’t really like it It’s kind of like One World where I like about 3 people and even then that’s not a big like, then there’s a few early boots who I appreciate enough to have in green, and then everyone else I either don’t have an opinion on or I can’t stand

I don’t want to sound completely negative though so I’ll say that it’s not a terrible season though and I’d take it over One World for sure and a couple other seasons you haven’t seen. (RI, CI, Palau) It’s worth watching for completion purposes though

Finished WA. I actually quite liked it in an odd way (which I’ve gathered isn’t a popular opinion on here ). It’s plagued by some nasty characters (particularly the gross bottom three) but the drama somehow kept it alive and Shirin and Mike were great underdogs (Shirin’s jury speech ). It definitely picked up the pace and some decent storylines post-merge too, I’d probably rank it between Mils vs Gen-X and BvsW I think (based off rankings in my OP)

I think Worlds Apart is a really dark season but Mike winning is such a satisfying ending Him, Carolyn and Shirin are my trifecta even though it’s not hard.

I also really liked Shirin’s jury speech but I thought Jenn’s was terrible and it ruins her for me sadly

Jenn can be a little cringe sometimes (see: her speech, some of her confessionals) but I think her heart is in the right place which is something for a castaway in the WA cast!

Edit: and I loved ‘I f**cking hate you’ and her idol play

I really liked Lindsey too and wished she stayed, especially over Rodney and Dan. Will, Rodney and Dan are all atrocious and pathetic and I hate them all Shirin raising her hand is probably my favourite moment of WA

Will, Rodney and Dan all being on one season is too much

Shirin/Mike/Jenn/Joe/Hali make/made for rootable and fun underdogs though on the flip side. Everyone else kinda sucks

I will say even the cast suck I don’t mind this season half as much as I thought I would based off general opinion. The pre-merge was oddly the worst part of the season (whereas usually I think in most seasons it’s the better) but the post-merge has been pretty great. A large portion of the cast are awful but there’s been some gems too.

Worlds Apart is grimy and dark but the fact that it's character-driven makes it automatically better than like..... a staggering amount of other seasons in the 30s.

Hmmm I’m two episodes into All Stars and it’s not very good at all and I know it’s considered largely awful. Idk wether to just stick it out or go with something else, I might give it one more episode to pull me in.

I think All Stars is worth it but it’s very dark and there’s some really grimy moments. But I think it’s worth sticking with it because I don’t think it’s a bad season just not a good one if that makes sense?

So I’ve recently just had a week or so break from the show, it was just getting a little tiresome but I decided to watch the next episode of AS’ tonight and it was the Hatch boot episode. I haven’t seen Sue’s quit episode yet but I’m aware of what goes down.

The situation was handled appallingly by the show it’s just pretty much brushed over that episode as nothing and it’s really not a good look! It’s a shame because Hatch was actually my fave up until that point but yeah that was just gross and uncomfortable viewing

Jerri </3 Chapera deciding to keep Amber around instead of her has to be one of the dumbest moves I think I’ve ever seen.

Christ Boston Rob SUCKS again and the showmance between him and Amber is neither cute nor endearing. She is literally void of personality and he’s just not a very nice person.

Side note: Kathy SUCKS this season too.

I wish Kathy never did All Stars because I really liked her in Marquesas and then she was just nasty in AS. Should have remained one of those people who we always put on our lists of people we’d like back for a second chance but probably never will

Yeah I loved Kathy in Marquesas but she’s just unpleasant so far, from her comments about Sue to the way she speaks to Jerri & Shii-Ann. It seems like she thinks she’s better than everyone else there.

All of the above, and I also couldn’t stand the way she told Jenna - who’s mum was dying of cancer - that she was being too miserable that it was becoming “a cancer to the tribe”

I just finished Kaoh Rong too! I think it really benefits from following Worlds Apart and Cambodia tbh. Worlds Apart is pretty mean-spirited with not many people to root for and Cambodia is extremely strategy-based and you don’t really get to know anyone any more than you did on their original seasons apart from a few people, so with Kaoh Rong being more upbeat and having more likeable people it shines brightly if that makes sense? I still think it’s a great season though
