Always love Eurovision, only if we come last or top 10 though (lol).

Who's favourite this year? I'm hearing Israel from a friend, that right? He said if they win though they can pick a country they want to host next year in (lack of money) and he's hoping they choose here (UK)...

ALSO: yano if Australia won, it wouldn't be IN Australia would it? They do the same as ^ and select a European country to hold it in?

No. It'd go to a European country. Germany was the #1 about when Dami was a favourite to win.

Lucas, have fun! I'll be watch SVT1 (through SVT Play) for the semis, and Logo for the final; so I'm definitely going to have fun this year.

Also, if Israel wins; it'll be their first win in 20 years ('98). If France wins, it'll be their first win in 41 years ('77).

Okay, so imo last year's contest was the weakest for a while due to the number of bland and/or forgettable ballads on show, and on a very late first listen, this year... doesn't seem much different? I'm not surprised that Israel is the favourite because it's one of the only songs I managed to stay awake listening to

I wish fewer countries would so blatantly try to recreate the previous year's winner, not only because in this instance it leaves us with half a show of schmaltz and nobody's in the mood for that, but because it rarely ever works (see: Russia 2016)
