This should not (ever) be part of any parent-offspring relationship. Popping in to visit your parents when its convenient for them? Who considers that to be a healthy parental dynamic? Only people who are crap parents would be my view (or who HAVE crap parents but aren't ready to admit it to themselves yet, out of misguided "family loyalty" or whatever).

we aren't dealing with a normal family though are we. The royals have never been considered normal, none of them. If Harry turned up unannounced, he could be taken out by a sniper for starters
When I lived away from home, I always called my Dad and asked when would be a convenient time. It's just good manners |

At best Charles can at least be partly blamed for the type of man Harry has become. That said, he's more than fully grown now and he can't be blamed for Harry's actions or decisions. He is within his right to not meet with his son. It's very possible he just simply can't trust him with a meeting with the amount of things likely going on in private.

So when children grow up and have a life of their own…you communicate with your family and arrange get togethers. Harry has occasional commitments but he runs his own agenda pretty much. It is therefore Harry who can slot into his fathers Agenda who has more commitments than his son.
Harry fails to see that…it’s a matter of fit into mine or lose out… |
