Martha hugging out Thomas and saying he's a genuinely lovely person... loves him to bits... and lots of hugging.... he's so positive, funny, and she'd be so happy if he were her son... basically, he's in the hall of fame of young people according to her.

We'll never see this in highlights, though

Sounds like she has 24 hours to calm down and improve then people will speak up. Some people pander to her behaviour and encourage the crazy side so she does it more. Sarah, Emma and Hanah all seem to be the annoyed ones. Sounds like Lily goes around and screams in peoples faces/close to them and doesn't respect personal boundaries etc.
