She didn't. Yeah, she did pageants and stuff, but she didn't hustle. She auditioned for Jive, and got a record deal! &you said you like Alexandra Burke.

I agree, most of the XF contestants have worked to get where they are now. Shayne used to tour the UK as part of a group, and then did solo gigs, as did Alexandra. Leona recorded many demos and did loads of gigs, so arguably, they've worked the same, if not harder, than Britney.
