8 weeks i think. i think it was 7 last year but they have extended it. so it will still be on when BB18 finishes

Oh has it gone back to 54 days then? Because I remember Raph said it was 54 days on launch night live feed but then Emma said it was 9 weeks long which would make it 61 days. I presume it's gone back down because of low ratings but will probably fall even lower to 50 days since they always do midweek finals for civilian BB except for BB15.

The ratings are way up on last year and I think they'll want to push their luck and see if they can stand up against CBB as well as BB.

Saying that they've put 11 new people in - I'm under the impression only the ones that couple up with the existing islanders stay since they're separated into different villas so can't couple up with other newbies? And there's only like 1 single guy and 2 single girls?

Next year's Love Island will probably run through BB19 and a big chunk of CBB22. I think they both may beat it though because it'll be the 'final ever' series'.

It's alright if Olivia does it...but Chris isn't allowed. Didn't the underwater kiss come after the alphabet one?...I think it did and probably the reason she did it.

Just caught up on the last few days!

I'm loving the two villas twist what I think is most enjoyable about it is the fact that it's obviously been months in the planning, which is what Big Brother twists used to be (like the House Next Door) as opposed to nowadays where they're conjured up hours before the show. I'd like it to last at least a week, I hope they don't end it too early. I'm also intrigued about how they're going to determine which newbies get to stay, I wonder if they'll get the original guys/girls to have to pick between their old partner or a new one or something?

I ADORE Camilla and Montana's friendship they're my absolute favourites. Glad they've both found someone at last, although I'm a bit sceptical of Craig because like Olivia alluded to, she's literally a one-way ticket to the title. First person to steal the money or am I getting ahead of myself?

Also, the moment where Camilla/Jonny had to pick between Tyla/Simon to stay was exquisite. That's reality television at its best <3

This series is really hitting its stride now, depending on how it ends it might be my favourite yet. I also find it amazing to think how two years ago we were speculating whether the figures were good enough for a renewal, and now here we are with a promotion to the main channel next year for an eight week run being about 80% likely IMO.

Not sure if they should do it content-wise mind, they'd have to water it down a hell of a lot.

I've been saying this for the last couple of weeks or so too, I can honestly imagine them moving it to ITV1 and having it run from early June till late July/early August.

Either way I think they've secured themselves a show that will last till at least 2020, and probably beyond that.
