Finished Vanuatu! A very underrated series I think (a large portion of the cast i.e. the men are fodder I will concede) but the female domination is iconic and makes for great viewing. There’s plenty of drama too, nearly every episode I think had at least one argument. Chris is an okay winner and did play a good game but I wish a woman did the win series after the girl power theme.

Finished All-Stars. I have mixed opinions on the season, it’s not one of the best by a long shout and some of the episodes were a chore to get through but overall I actually liked the cast on the whole. Rob proposing to Amber at the reunion before the votes were read and Jeff all like ‘no offence to the seventeen other tribe mates but this was Rob’s season!!!!!’ (why does he have such a hard on for him?). Probably the most bitter jury of all time too lmao what a mess. Alicia, Lex and Tom came across horribly.

I started Kaoh Rong next as I’ll probably just continue my old season/new season watch order (it keeps it feeling refreshing I think because old school survivor and new school are so different.) I watched the first four episodes back in 2016 when it aired and Alecia was the delightful underdog I remembered loving at the time ‘we’ve got an embryo’, ‘I’m a mental giant’, when she stood not even picking up any puzzle pieces in a challenge, when she was literally running after Jason for the idol

I REALLY hope she plays again some day, they need a pre-merge boot series for all the forgotten faves like J’Tia, Alecia and Ghandia !

Other than that, it’s off to a pretty decent start but I get the impression it’s a slow burner. Don’t have any other solid favourites as yet but a few have potential.

The Caleb medavec episode was also one of the wildest I’ve ever seen, wow.

Down to F7 with the Scot boot episode airing last. I’ve got to say I’ve found this season a little overrated so far tbh. It’s been decent but I certainly don’t think it’s one of the best ever, I’d probably rank it in between HvsV and Marquesas atm out of the seasons I’ve seen.

Aubry is my favourite by far but I do really like Cydney too. Joe and Michele have their moments but they’re too UTR (Michele has a bizarre edit for a winner) and I think Tai is vastly overrated, but I do kind of like him.

I think Debbie was really overrated too, sorry! She had her moments but nowhere near the legend she’s hyped up to be.

Finished Kaoh Rong! Overall I thought it was a decent series but not one of my favourites. The cast were pretty good but Alecia going so early was a massive disappointment, if only she’d made a tribe switch and could’ve found a way in . I’m content with Michele winning even though her trajectory towards the title was really odd in the edit I’ll probably go onto Vanuatu next.

I agree at Vanuatu being underrated and I'm glad you enjoyed it! That Ami/Scout/Eliza/Twila cluster is just what dreams are made of and the fact that they all made it so far just elevates the season beyond belief.

Yeah the season would be nothing without Twila, Ami and Eliza (I actually think Scout is a little overrated and boring at times but she’s cooky enough and does have some good moments) but those three are all so compelling to watch and the fact that Eliza and Twila somehow make the final?!?!

I don't find Scout boring at all actually! She's sooooooo slimy and fake and calculated but I'm enamored at how someone who literally has noting to contribute managed to ascend to the power position at Yasur, mainly through metaphors that were really just insults directed at the younger women It's ironic love because she's so blatantly an awful person, but it also ~completes the image~ when you learn that her real name is actually Janet Spencer and she's a huge ****ing fraud

I’ve started Samoa, probably seems an odd choice but I’m just filling gaps from my weird watching order from four years ago

It’s okay atm, nothing stellar but not too bad. I’m aware of just how much airtime Russell sucks up in this season and it’s evident already. Half of the cast feel like they’ve been shown for less than five minutes and I’m onto the sixth episode

Shambo is my early favourite, i don’t have much of an opinion on anyone else but Yasmin seemed like she could’ve been a legend

Samoa is a really weird season and it’s a shame Russell sucks up so much airtime because the potential is there for it to be a decent season. Shambo is fantastic though and I’m glad you’re enjoying her

Samoa is such a slog to get through I don’t actually think I’d dislike Russell nowhere near as much if he wasn’t so overly edited. Erik has just gone (RIP to the king </3) and there’s currently now only Shambo I actually properly care about left in the tribe.
