Any thoughts on that straight red card !?

That tackle wouldn’t have even been a yellow on the Prem league !!!

A respectable showing from Barnsley, especially considering they were down to ten men.

But I do feel that Sheffield Wed deserved it more throughout the season, they were 10 points ahead of Barnsley in the table, so as someone who's a neutral to both teams, I feel like the fairest result played out.

Good result for Charlton today. There’s still work to do tho, our midfield is a bit wobbly and we’re making the same mistake of getting subs in too late.

I see the blues had a draw today after being 1-0 up which was unlucky (I was backing them on my bet as well). What do you think Mock do you reckon you’s can challenge for the playoffs this season?

A good result for Charlton today, congratulations btw.

I'm not going to get too carried away with playoffs yet, but I think that we could easily grab a top 12 finish, because I feel like that the first four or five games will be where we'll be finding our foot through the door due to all of the changes at the club.

But after that I could see us growing into a decent side this season, but I'm not sure about the playoffs.

What about Charlton? Do you see yourselves getting promoted or reaching the playoffs?

A similar situation here as well tbh Mock. There’s been a lot of changes behind the scenes so it’s difficult to know how this season will pan out.

I reckon if we don’t get hit with too many injuries again we can hopefully challenge for the playoffs this year. We have a decent squad but we need to be able to cope with the pressure especially after January.

Well fingers crossed that Charlton remain relatively injury free throughout the season.

I said at the end of last season Birmingham had too many matches where they got ahead, then ended up with only a draw..
Sadly too many draws.
Enough to keep them safe in the Championship but such a lot of points missed out on.

Again today, they got ahead then ended up with a draw.
Again too late in the 2nd half.

However it's the first game only, it's an away point so I'll keep hoping they string stronger results in fixtures to come.

Please though not a repeat of last season's load of draws after getting ahead in the matches
My nerves couldn't take that again.

I agree with you 100% Joey, sometimes I feel like Eustace can be a bit too cautious sometimes.

I mean he left Jutkiewicz & Bacuna on the bench when we needed a second goal.

But like you've said it is a point away from home, so I'll take that for the first game of the season.

And let's have Leeds become what Liverpool became for Man Utd last season (no offense Denver)

I'm going to be a near nervous wreck if there's more matches like that from Birmingham.
A result though was extremely welcome.

I really hope that we can do it, but either way I'll be happy if we can at least be a good side this season.

And it's good to see that Troy Deeney scored for Forest Green yesterday.

And I know that MTVN has a soft spot for Forest Green doesn't he? So hopefully they can pick up a few wins soon.

And LT you must be chuffed that Rangers are only one point behind Celtic, and bizarrely Motherwell?

Although I don't begrudge Motherwell having a strong start to the season, like myself and fellow Bluenoses, the Motherwell fans should really enjoy the start that they've had so far.

Without meaning to keep gushing over Birmingham City Football Club, but according to people that I know irl who use Twitter, we apparently helped a local Football club who play in the Midland Football League called AFC Birmingham with getting extra seats in their stadium, plus a tunnel to walk out of before a game is about to kick off.

And I think we gave them some of our spare goalposts as well.

Basically I respect Blues all the more for helping out a Non-League team out, and hopefully AFC Birmingham have a great season, whenever it starts back up for them.

Update... After some research I've found out that AFC Birmingham have played two matches, I think they're sitting 8th in the table.

Tbf we all thought that Bournemouth were going to get relegated last season and were wrong, so I wouldn't 100% rule Luton out just yet.

But even if they do get relegated by the end of this season, it's an incredible story considering what was happening with them a decade ago, and how they've had to slowly climb their way back up from oblivion.
