No more work either, it will all be AI. We'll all just get a universal credit (controlled by government) and sit around doing nothing. There would be some work, but not for most. These lockdowns we're having are the dress rehearsals.

AI isn't even close to being that advanced yet. If it possible that the (western) world will eventually slide towards a Universal Basic Income in place of menial/manual labour? Maybe so. But that's nothing new? We don't have cages full of dirty-faced blokes being lowered down into coal mines in their thousands every day and coming back out with COPD any more either. Is that a bad thing?

Also most of the things you're describing above would require people to be aware that they have this chip. So at some point they're just going to shout "SURPRISE! You've been chipped!" ?
