...just going back to clarify the U-Turn...I think it’s less of a U-Turn and more of a ‘tweak’...It’s not to help ‘prevent’ as such, it’s only areas where a lockdown has already been placed again...horse already bolted/something/something etc..

Tbh I doubt it'll peak higher than the first wave though, simply because we're forewarned whereas people (governments) didn't take it as seriously the first time round.

I certainly wouldn't book any trips away though, or be planning any new years parties.

NYE is better at home with family, hot chocolate and a bag of doritos anyway

I don't know anyone who had a positive test but I know a few people who were ill at the height of the pandemic with symptoms but it was when they weren't testing unless you were admitted to hospital..

I also know someone who got contacted through test and trace and has to isolate even though they have no symptoms.

Yes, my stepmums sister was seriously ill with it and it was confirmed as covid

I was ill at the beginning of march but I didn’t get tested at the time (I did isolate etc. though).

I might get the antibody test, for curiosities sake
