If you were playing as non-licensed characters, you could collect these halos from pedestals that would unlock them as cosmetics if you managed to survive as a survivor or simply win as a killer... You really havent. I played earlier today and it's exactly the same. Don't get me wrong I think the games fun with friends but after all these years only one game mode?

They could have released 8 survivors v 2 killers but they seemingly just care about how much money they can pump out of people before something on PS5 takes it's fanbase

If you log in this week you'll get given a free gift of 250,000 bloodpoints, everyone - because of some error that was affecting people's rewards at the end of games (didn't encounter it personally but I guess it happened!)

@ Scott - Pros:
- Every game does feel different even if there isn't technically much going on; trying to unlock perks and cosmetics and offerings does incentivise you quite a lot so it's addictive
- Free challenges as well to keep everyone occupied (you can pay to get access to the rewards on the "rift" (basically a battle pass) but even without doing that you'll unlock stuff
- Constant updates and probably the only horror game that hasn't been left in the lurch (either through awkward copyright dramas or just general neglect)
- And it CAN be fun... and it's genuinely scary for the first few weeks or so. Once you get used to the gameplay most of the scariness disappears admittedly.

Cons:
- Community is probably the worst out of all gaming communities I've come into contact with (which is, admittedly, not many)... so many people just itching to screw you over, or send hate mail, or killers not wanting to give you a chance. But in all I'd say this only happens once every 4 or 5 games, the only other problem with teammates is their stupidity (but if you're new you'll get low level killers anyway)
- SO many bugs all the time that take eons to be fixed. Right now there's a bug where if you walk around a certain slight-mound / hill, you'll get stuck on the corner of it and unable to do anything unless you wait to die. And because the game technically counts you as moving, you won't alert the killer to your situation so they can snuff you out quickly. I was made aware of it quickly but it's still happened to me twice so idk how the hell many others are encountering it regularly.
- Pretty much all of the characters are ugly and it is rare that the designers give them something nice to wear. But the new guy about to be released early September is a daddy so that's nice, and there's always David

I think entitypleased only gives you 150,000 in the in-game store though. The 250k is a freebie for anyone who logged in this week at some point (to apologise for some error 112 or something like that)

Just critique me..he is a pc survivor and I shot his 360s down as a console player. And surely when I slugged him it was viable I only did it twice and both times it's understandable.
Anyway I'm on xbox now cus that's where my friends are these days but cus of crossplay you can add me and we'll have some games if you guys are up for it, I'm also on ps4 with different and probably more completed survivors especially Scoops Ahoy Steve!!

I don't know if it appears on Switch but it's on the in-game store, rather than a Playstation or Xbox or Switch store code. Once you click the main store tab, it says "redeem code" somewhere around the top right corner.

just went against an all Rank 1 PC SWF doing every cliche in the book (using Object of Obsession, purple flashlights, teabagging every pallet, clicking to get attention) and it was honestly more sad to watch than frustrating. Such sad little rageboners at work. (Especially considering I'm a Rank 5 console Leatherface, and I still managed to kill one of them lol)

It is hella annoying though that I only ever play survivor solo, and always get Rank 1-3 killers (I'm a rank 1/2 survivor) that sweat their asses off, but whenever I play killer as a purple, I only ever get red survivors took me like 8 games to get a match where I completed the "kill all 4 survivors by any means" challenge in the rift (admittedly I've been playing casual killers rather than the insane meta ones but still)

I think this update might be a nail in the coffin for DBD for me. Not the final one, I'm still optimistic, but everything that could go wrong with this one did go wrong:

1) Turned the framerate of the PS4 into complete dog****. Games are so laggy and unplayable right now, at a level I've not yet seen on this game.
2) The 'event' is just... you can get 3000 points for each "special" generator repaired, or each "special" hook used. That's it. No harvesting plants, no double bloodpoints, no special cake offering, nothing.
3) In its place are some new gimmicky offerings: the flickering lightbulb which does absolutely nothing for anyone with an IQ above 50, and the blight serum which just completely undoes some killers' abilities. You've hooked someone as ghostface and now want to go back into stealth? Tough ****, you have to do some stupid rush forward first. And you can't use it again until someone else is hooked... which won't happen because you can't go into stealth unless you use it.
4) Most heinous of all, despite some (as usual, admittedly cool) new skins, the ability to earn them through gameplay has been completely removed and you now have to spend money on them (unless you have 20,000+ shards saved up which... I mean... well done on 120 hours of work, I guess). There's absolutely no reason for this other than sheer greed; sure you can argue the Ghostface skin should be paid for since it's a license, but none of the other 5 (Feng, Yui, Felix, Legion & Blight) are and could easily have been a rehash of the 2018 or 2019 events where you can earn 2 of the skins for free. Especially since there's nothing ****ing spectacular about the survivor ones.
5) More killer perks nerfed into the ground: Thanatophobia is now useless since it doesn't affect healing, Pop Goes the Weasel has been shaved to 45 seconds to use it or lose it, Pyramid Head is turned into a spamming killer that can't play mindgames with his trails any more, Huntress Lullaby is nerfed, Discordance now has a limited range it can be visible from... there are TWO killer perks buffed (Trail of Torment and Cruel Limits) but... who uses those?! Meanwhile, all survivor perks changed are - of course - buffs (to Technician, For the People, We're Gonna Live Forever, Any Means Necessary and Slippery Meat).
6) The trapper map reworks look nice, but I can't help but feel most of the new reworks look the same graphically? I can't really tell much difference between the Freddy and Trapper maps now, tbh.
7) Oh and the new rift is garbage. Adam has OK cosmetics, but the Nea one is hideous. And some of the challenges are gross... hit 6 people with a rushing Blight in one game? For level ONE of the rift? Yikes.

I just... don't like the direction this game has gone in. The community likes to poke fun at its bugs and glitches and constant "pretty good job so far"s but it's becoming like Fallout; what was once part of its charm is now becoming a license to get lazy with development and just rush forward big money updates without actually testing it on players who know how to play it. It was exciting getting franchises like Stranger Things, Ghostface, Silent Hill involved with the game but beyond the $$$ those things generate there's nothing about DBD gameplay that's been any improvement since 2017.

I agree the update most recent was trash. I have logged in every day for the free stuff but the game feels like a chore.

Pop being nerfed is a joke, there was absolutely no reason to nerf it and the frame rate is bloody pathetic, release a limited time event and leave the game almost unplayable?

Charm codes btw if anyone even cares for them.
