david isn't even an mp, so he is at least 5 years away from being party leader assuming that he wanted to stand for parliament again, which is unlikely, then assuming he won the seat he was contesting, and then put his name forward for and won a leadership election. To say it is unlikely is quite an understatement

I've thought again.
I'm still not on board this was a wise move.

It maybe can't do any further harm but knowing Morgan's style, there'll be a moment which gets picked up on.
More likely negatively.
