Public worm has turned on the Royals and they're flailing desperately. Her Maj was the glue holding the whole ship together... there were high hopes for a solid comeback post-Charles (inevitably) brief stint with William and Kate but the Perfect Royal Family is coming apart at the seams before they've even started.

Queen Elizabeth II was a clear (and let's face it, quite fitting and hugely dignified) full stop at the end of the British Monarchy. I don't doubt this silly soap opera will dribble on for decades to come, but we know it's over. Anyone with even the vaguest gauge on public opinion knows. The "special case" exceptions they've enjoyed as Royal Celebrities are well and truly gone ... and this whole debacle demonstrates that with crystal clarity.

William's brother and sister and law could have told him that if he was listening. As could his mother.

You clearly have forgotten public opinion on her Maj when Diana died and she refused to leave Balmoral....the tide gushes in and in recedes but interest in the Royals even when they are doing nothing more than recuperating will never diminish, contrast that to Harry and Megs they have to be attending something to be relevant, Kate just sits at home with her feet up and the proletariat as you so kindly refer to them are clamouring for news

I don't follow the Royals very much at all, not watched the Crown, only when something about them pops up on here, I do find it odd how many people were so desperate for Kate to be really ill, not a good look, not a good look at all

Haha, there are apparently at least 8 photographic oddities in that photo. You're not telling me kate sat on her laptop Photoshopping like crazy.

The truth is being hidden. Her head looks too big and it's obviously someone else sitting there. Kate's head superimposed but they forgot to reduce the head size.

As pointed out before, the tight jeans - no one would wear tight jeans like that after a major operation that's still healing. She'd be wearing baggy trousers or a dress.

If it were Kate, she'd be wearing her rings too.
