The Mae Young Classic is taking place TONIGHT!

Parade of Champions will be LIVE on WWE's YouTube midnight UK time and then a night of spoiler-filled Twitter.

For all of us women’s wrestling fans and the commenters on Diva-Dirt, it has finally been announced that the second annual Mae Young Classic will premiere on the WWE Network on September 5th at 9/8 C, immediately following NXT. The single-elimination tournament will continue each Wednesday night until two competitors remain.

As it was already announced, the finalists will battle it out during WWE’s Evolution PPV on October 28th.

This year’s Mae Young Classic tournament will also see a new announce team. Jim Ross and Lita will be replaced by a three person team of Michael Cole, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix and backstage interviewer Renee Young.

Cathy Kelly and Shadia Bseiso, WWE’s first female recruit from the Middle East, will serve as backstage interviewers for this year Mae Young Classic tournament while Kayla Braxton will serve as the tournament’s ring announcer.

A week prior to the premiere, Mauro Ranallo and Beth Phoenix will host the Bracketology Breakdown on August 29th.

Vince McMahon/WWE is reportedly FURIOUS that the ROH/NJPW supershow G1 at Madison Square Garden has sold out.

Tickets for April’s G1 Supercard presented by Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling went on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. ET on Friday. A pre-sale for ROH HonorClub members on Wednesday saw about 60% of the available seats sold.

All tickets were sold out 19 minutes after sales were opened to the public, according to PWInsider.

The show will be held on April 6, the night before WrestleMania across the river at MetLife Stadium, competing against WWE’s NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. While ROH has been running Supercard shows in conjunction with WrestleMania weekend since 2006, the company has never attempted to book a venue as large as MSG. SuperCard of Honor XII, held last April in New Orleans, attracted 6,000 fans to an arena that seats nearly 9,000. The Garden seats 18,500 for wrestling.

Wrestling legend Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart has died, according to the WWE. He was 63.



Neidhart passed away early Monday morning after suffering a medical emergency at a home in Florida.

According to the emergency dispatch audio, emergency personnel were called around 6:30 AM about a man having seizures and convulsions.

At one point, the dispatch operator says, "They think he might be Signal 7" -- which is code for a dead person.

Jim was a WWF superstar in the mid-'80s and early '90s as a member of The Hart Foundation tag team with Bret "The Hitman" Hart ... managed by Jimmy Hart.

During his legendary career, Jim was a 2-time Tag Team champion -- defeating everyone from the Legion of Doom to the Nasty Boys to The Rockers.

Neidhart also wrestled with WCW and TNA Wrestling. He last wrestled in WWE back in 2007, but has made appearances on "Total Divas."

Before he became a pro wrestler, Neidhart pursued a career in pro football -- with brief stints with the Oakland Raiders and Dallas Cowboys.

Neidhart is survived by his wife, Ellie, and 3 daughters including Natalie -- aka WWE superstar Natalya.

A rumor has been going around over the last few days that Asuka got in an argument with WWE officials at this week’s SmackDown Live and walked out on the promotion. This is not true, according to Ringsidenews.com. The story was falsely attributed to Mike Johnson of PWInsider but no major news outlets have confirmed any such a thing. Had Asuka walked out, it would have been a top story backstage but no one has been talking about it, suggesting that nothing happened.
