in my day they were the gold standard, as for the spagetti soup - it is seen more as a Micky Mouse qualification.

Fish, you can cook them a number of ways instead of deep frying.

I like to do baked fish with herbs and black pepper corns

Sometimes with Herring fillets, I will put them in a frying pan with a little oil in, put on black pepper and black peppercorns and put the frying pan under the grill.

As for chips - no imagination and not all that healthy

So

Ground coffee in a cafetere or a filter cone
