ILOVEMONEY.......I suspect you are in the 12 to 14 age category if you are using 'GAY' in the way you do, as a derogatory playground term........hopefully as you get older you will grow up, meet some real nice gay ie homosexual people and realise that 'gay' is not be used as a term of abuse........but is actually a description of some most wonderful people.....including lots of historical figures like Michaelangelo etc who have given so much to Humanity.........

This 'new' meaning of the word GAY is derived from schoolyard bullying and bigotry, in "yoof speak" to call someone 'gay' is still to attack them by speculating about their sexuality. The fact that some immature (and mostly male) people regard homosexuality as lame or rubbish doesn't make it any less hurtful.

This is too often seen as harmless banter instead of the offensive insult that it really represents. To ignore this problem is to collude in it.
