Marcus Akin is up there with steve coogan and sacha baron cohen. Like them he has managed to create one of the greatest tv personas in years.

and on the other hand:

Delusion on a comic scale; vulnerable, needy and soft when faced with the likes of Noirin; A largely unfounded unshakeable belief in his own abilities; some unsavoury public hygene issues; the abilty to divide the nation as only marmite can

Mix that all together and you got a contemporary anti-hero; a sort of postmodern mullet headed James bond

PLUS he isn't self-conscious like most of the HM's who play to the cameras and edit themselves all of the time. He just let's it all hang out and I can't help but love him!
