Problems?
let me guess you are coming to come back with the dyslexia defence, before you do could I suggest you look up dyslexia, oh and also look up autism, while you are about it. |

maybe because of his sheltered upbringing ie public school? it really doesnt prepare you for the real world,HOWEVER freddie had his chance and now hes become the posh idiot who thinks he knows everything but really just likes the sound of his own voice ,he is such a hypocrite |

I agree with the majority of your points jeg but can't answer your fundamental question - sorry.
I think the house (in general) is fairly low on wit and intellect and Freddie sounds posh and can be grating when he isn't sure what to say so he was an easy target from the off. Yes, he then got more confident as it became clear that despite their best efforts, the public - unlike many of the HMs did like him. As time went on he grew in confidence to the point where he wasn't just allowing himself to be the whipping boy and would stand up for himself. Sometimes successfully and rationally...sometimes not. Again that is not a crime but may have further annoyed the lowest denominator. As for the viewing public and this forum in particular... they have a tendency to support the bland and stereotypical historically...look at the support for Sophie and Charlie if any proof is needed. It seems that people are prepared (in some cases) just to completely ignore the 2 faced backbiting and volleys of inaccurate abuse dished out by some HMs because 'he's a cute geordie gay with a sick mum' or she's got a 'nice pair'...bit sad |

If you want the truth I think Freddie is an act, he went in playing the bumbling buffoon, who went about deliberately annoying people by following them around asking why they didnt like him, then when he knew the public felt sympathy for him, a few head to head evictions under his belt, he slowly became the real Freddie analysing everyone elses potential moves and plans, sharing them with us through the diary room, we liked that because he had through previous chats all through his characters development created a rapport with the public. Incidentally he would have got three chances with me with that "Dude" cr@p, then I think I would have been removed. Using the same arguement automatically follows Marcus should be granted leeway coz he lives with his mum and his dolls. |

I agree with everything you said. Bea has got to be the most hated housemate of all time for me. Her plan all along was to befriend Freddie and drop him when it suited her. I hope she loses friends in real life or they become aware what sort of person she is. Pathetic.
