Before I would have said it was to do with the regional vote. There are a LOT of Big Brother viewers here in the North and Facebook has been overrun with 'Charlie to Win' spam among people in the Newcastle region (group invites, etc).

But that wouldn't explain his positive reception with the Elstree crowd.
