I'd rather it finished this year tbh.

If the effort, or rather lack of it, that's gone into BB10 is anything to go by, then next year will be even worse.

Would rather they sold it off now and let someone else have a better go with it. After a break of a year or two.

Reality TV is all about wannbe's. That is what the show is about now. It's not an experiment anymore. Most of them just sleep all day and how do you expect people to stay interested in something for 90+ days? It's a joke.

No one should be in that enviroment for 90+ days, the mind games don't help in that sort of house with people you really don't know that well like you would do in the outside world.

It's quite funny they reference Marcus when he's one of the most watchable housemates.

Actually all he does is sit under a quilt and wank. Not exactly exciting.

It has been confirmed to be scrapped since BB8. Still hasn't happened. They'll see the contract through, what happens after is the mystery.

To be fair, BB has run it's course. Every great show has to end at some point. maybe in 20 years BB can make a massive revival for another 10 years.

It is a shame, but they are right, it is not as widely talked about as it used to be and has become more of a 'cult' following rather than a popular and exciting show.

It's has done well though, and will remain the 'Daddy' of all reality shows for some time.

Thats what they should do, have next year the last, then have a 2-3 year break, then bring it back wit loads of twists in mind, and good tasks, and make it the best yet that it attracts 10 million viewers, itspossibly if they try.

Exactly.
BB10 has had a general feeling of meh from the producers - even the house wasn't that different from last years (The diary room is in EXACTLY the same place with stairs on either side.) A break and then a huge comeback would save it.

It's been different - I've said loads of times that BB has left the housemates to create their own drama and throwing the odd minor twist in to add a bit of fuel, but the producers seem to have taken a back seat this year. Unfortuantly the likes of Marcus and Siavash have taken advantage of this and made Big Brother look like a tit.

This only means BB is over for channel 4. I'm sure some other channel will buy the rights to it, even if it does change the format a little, Big Brother will live!

The problem is they aren't getting the viewers in they need to keep it going year in year out and many people are bored of it. I ain't even the biggest of fan's of BB. Why am i still watching it? For Marcus, if he wasn't in anymore, i'd stop watching and most likely woulnd't be on here posting about BB.

The house needs big charcters and we have people hating Marcus who is by FAR the biggest one in the house and people wonder why people aren't watching? That's one of the big reasons, along with shabby producing and some other thing's like the LF of course who people did like.

But the whole thing is way too PC. They proved that when they called Marcus to the diary room to try and grill him and ended up looking stupid.

What Channel will one to take a programme which is failing to attract viewers? ITV? Forget about it, they have other show's, BBC? NO CHANCE.

We have to face it, the show is coming to an end.

BIG Brother is to be scrapped by Channel 4 after this year's ratings disaster, The Sun can reveal.
The axe comes as barely two million tune into the tenth series of the reality show - compared to eight million only a few years ago.
A telly insider last night confirmed an official announcement will be made as early as Friday, saying: "The reality is people are BORED with it. Even at Channel 4 the vibe among staff is that if you like Big Brother you're not cool.
"If the people commissioning the show don't think it's cool, what hope is there?"
The "bold experiment" that was launched in 2000 went on to make stars of housemates such as Jade Goody, Chantelle Houghton and the original Mr "Nasty" Nick Bateman.
But this year's dull crop - including mutton-chopped Wolverine lookalike Marcus - have proved the death knell.
One final series - the 11th - will be screened on C4 next year because of the channel's £180million deal with the show's makers Endemol.
But after that it will only go ahead if the production house can flog it to a rival channel.
At its peak Big Brother was a huge money-spinner - generating profits of £70million a year.
But insiders now say it is only just "washing its face" - industry speak for covering its costs.
They accuse the show of failing to win over the "Facebook generation" after being watered down to avoid controversy following the Shilpa Shetty race row on the celebrity version.
The source said: "The truth is nobody's talking about Big Brother any more."
Fans of Celebrity Big Brother are likely to still get their fix of it in January - since that is also part of C4's current deal.

Without a doubt you could see the backend through the frontend this season.
By that I mean it was apparent from the botched 'YouTube Applicants' hoax being abandoned to the 'hurry up and go' Launch night,
to the cast most obviously quickly selected from Agencies or previous employees,
to the House 'design' which was really just unused previously rejected left-overs,
to the lack of enthusiasm,
to the live-feeds being taken away,
and,
really just the sort of 'contempt' production and writing seemed to have for it.
Not an enthusiastic concept but a 'barely bothered to try contempt'.
You just got this feeling BB people (whoever was left) were spending more time on the phone tracking down new job opps and leads and/or retirement deals than bothering with the 'wrap up' obligatory season10.
Watch how fast and what a minimum effort drives to the final (half of them probably left already),
and,
watch how quickly they will just wrap up and forget this season.
5 minutes after the winner is interviewed you will see staff already packed and out the door.

Sounds like there is a BB11 after all this.
The only real possibility?
It will be some sort of 'All-Star' version of previous HMs and previous Celebrity BB HMs.
As short a season as possible.
More of a 'good-bye' and 'look back' and 'wrap it all up' season.

Anyone who believes Big Brother can be saved by a 'break' is dillusional. The format is dead. The general public don't care anymore. If you think them building a brand new house, adding some transvestite Russian or making up some amazing twist in 2012 will bring back 7 million viewers, you're wrong.

If people want a good reality show these days, they'll find it in X Factor or Britains Got Talent. Big Brother, as good as it was, is just....blah now. The only people who believe it can be saved by a break or new network are, unsurprisingly, the few remaining Big Brother fans.
