Psycho is probably my favourite Bernard Hermann score

Most of Ennio Morricone's scores are amazing and he was so prolific, that I can't pick a favourite, but Django, Once Upon a Time in the West and Once Upon a Time in America are great scores

I also love the Wicker Man soundtrack.

Yep, was going to mention the Wicker Man cuz I love the less obvious scores that don't get the kind of attention they deserve.

Anything Jerry Goldsmith did.

Or definitely Philip Glass' score for "The Hours", it was monumentally fantastic.
It's on my i-pod.

Yep, Goldsmith was the man. His music never overpowered a film; always added to it. He was a master at creating a certain mood that complimented the story and he's often overlooked because of his subtlety. Another great thing about him is his diversity.... it's not like Williams or Barry in that you're never quite sure if it's his score you're listening to, such is his ability to change and adapt to any given project. Very hard to identify his music because he's always so original.

OMG! This is EXACTLY how I fel about him!
That's why I think he's always overlooked by most people which is a total crime.
Because he never created his own style, he just went for what was best for the film he was dealing with.
He built songs to suit a film, not to suit his style for the film.

Seatanta, we are separated at birth!
