Being fat is a big problem if the statistics are true and god knows how many people will be obese by 2050 I think they said? It is a big problem if we the tax payers are paying fat people to have operations like taking 2 thirds of their stomach out, etc.. there will be a point where the nhs or whatever cant fund this..

And also who should get treatment first? A fat person who could have done something about the weight ages ago before coming to the point of having 2 thirds or their stomach taken out?

or someone who has got cancer.. who has randomly got it.. is a reasonable healthy person but just an unlucky person who has got cancer?

sorry sounds a bit controversial but yes I see there are many reasons people are fat and I dont judge people on how they look but Im judging on a fact of treatment and life and death.. to the ones whos fatness turns into obesity and then it goes too far..

The other problem is, fat people get so many benefits like there are drugs for blood pressure and breathing problems.

The pharmaceutical companies are making a killing from over weight people.

Stress often makes you lose weight, but I suppose it could make you gain it :3

Also their upbringing, it's usually to do with their parents... whether it's where they live, what their parents eat, what they can afford to eat and how often their parents are home...

I do excercise everyday, considering I have 2 labradors and a staffy... you kind of have to lol. I eat lunch and tea, sometimes the odd snack... but I'm not skinny at all. Mum lost 2 stone when mum and dad divorced.. lucky bum! (ie, weight loss due to stress). All of her family are pretty average/skinny, so I think the genes must come from dads way, but we don't know who dads parents are, so that's something we will have to guess.

Dunno why I wrote that lol, but yea, my life story ladies and gentleman!

I'm not skinny at all either. Hell, I admit that I eat too much and I don't get nearly enough exercise. That and I have possibly the worst metabolism ever. I have to eat the right balance of food or my weight will fluctuate. It's very difficult for me to keep a steady weight. Sucks.

I was very skinny before. never been fat though, did get a bit chubby, but people wouldnt call it chubby as i was still better conditioned than most.

Served a guy today that was probably close to 20 stone. He bought 12 choclate bars 2 pizza's and 4 family sized bags of crisps.. thats why they are fat they eat to much.
