I think to say it's PURELY on their looks. Their songs are as catchy and current as anything else out there at the minute. I personally don't like them but I can see why a lot of people would.

JLS will be bigger than Alex in the US.
Theres not much space in the US market for another Beyonce clone like Alexandra, but theres a huge gap for a fresh and modern boyband like JLS.

When it comes to boybands though Jonas Brothers pretty much have that covered. They won't do well, Alexandra's gonna struggle but I think JLS will bomb.

Anyway you're wrong.JB arn't really a commercial band.Their music doesn't get played on US radio at all and their singles flop.All they have is a Disney fanbase.

No.They dont get any radio support so all they really get is a #1 on the first week slaes from their album and drop dramatically the next week because theres only so many teenage girls who will buy their album!

Remember that last year they were frequently featured in Heat Magazine and things like that for their looks and such, it's one of their biggest reasons they got signed because teenage girls fancy the pants of them and will buy any old crap as long as they take their shirts off.

The charm will have warn off by then and their core audience would have grown up. Don't think they'll be around for ten years until we know how well the second album will do.
