BB8 wasn't boring, at all, it was just plain depressing. It was like a mix of BB7 - far too much of everything, too many housemates, too many ridiculous twists, too many spin offs - and BB6, where the housemates clearly all hated each other.

The only difference was that the housemates were so depressed and irritated by each other that it wasn't even fun to watch. Carole absolutely sucked the life out off the younger ones, Chanelle, Ziggy and the Twins in particular. The winner had been chosen by the producers by about week 4, and tbf, he would have won anyway due to the fact he had ZERO competition, all the the others were certainly not winner potential. I mean honestly, Ziggy, Jonty, Carole, Tracey, Charley, Billi, Shanessa, Amy, Shabnam, Jonathon, Nicky, Kara-Louise, ect. none of them stood a CHANCE at winning.

The house itself became really dull and dirty looking by the end and omg. The tasks. the tasks were HORRIFICALLY bad, like nothing I've ever seen before on BB, just so totally unentertaining, pointless, overtly elaborate, boring.

I honestly think Emily could have saved the series though.

I finished the entire thing and I must say I really enjoyed it. I loved the house design, loved the all female week, loved Ziggy and Liam and the twins. I happen to have loved the tasks, I think they were original and fun (the 7 deadly sins, time machine, BB quiz and so forth).

It was worse than BB4.

BB4, simple and boring as it may be, it tried new things like the first night nominations, double eviction, housemate swap, rewards room, sending Jon back in.
It only lasted 9 weeks so was over fairly soon, and the HMs were nice people but weren't the liveliest bunch.
The house was actually nice and the logo's okay - seemed too big a deal for the 4th series when we knew there was gonna be a BB5 and 6 too though

BB8 just rehashed stale ideas like countless hidden rooms that added nothing (the caravan, that small room by the pool, the dreaded half way house). The fake week might have been the only good experiment.
It lasted thirteen and a half weeks so dragged out longer, and the HMs were quite ghastly. All female launch wasn't a hit. Ziggy as the first guy and 'heart throb' was like a slap in the face with unwanted testicles. Bringing Gerry and Seany in to further frustrate the girl HMs and viewers was yet another p*ss take. Then more guys came in, but consisted of a thick attention seeker, a billionaire bore, a moody male model and an irritating alpha male tree surgeon who did not deserve that money 5 misn after he stepped through the door. Then the final five were pure car crash TV wannabes. I still have nightmares about Jonty and his Monketty Tunkitty.
The house was just too small and square, even for viewers, and the eye was just hideous and too much

BB4 did some damage to BB's reputation so BB5 picked it up again, but after CBB5 BB8 was just complete overkill and was a big turn off. BB9 tried to undo the mess but it already lost viewers

It wasn't awful but it wasn't great. It was only okay. BB4 and 10 was MUCH worse.

I thought the house, eye, everything was ugly and boring but I have seen most of them so I was like wth Ill give it another chance and Im so glad I did. I finished it and like two weeks and was glued to my computer every episode. I think it was a amazing series and people need to try it again. Its deff one of my favorites =]

BB8 was one I just caught in the beginning and then intermittently until catching a some of the end.
So I am not claiming to know what might have sucked.

From the parts I did see I did think it was great. I regretted I did not get to see it straight through from beginning to end,
but,
maybe I was just lucky to catch the best parts and happened to miss whatever really sucked bad heh

Yeah the house design and launch twist were rubbish.

But Charley and Chanelle were very entertaining, I liked it, wouldn't say loved but no way whatsoever was it as bad as people think.

I agree with Smithy, Patrick.

It was better than BB1, BB3 and BB4, but about on par with BB10 and significantly worse than the rest of them.

I'm like, really excited to watch this after BB11 tbh. Would you guys say BB8 was better than BB11?

I've already seen so many clips of it and it just makes me want to watch more. And I think i'm the only one who LOVES the house. It's out wacky and modern, and I think BB8 also has the best intro of any BB season. Everything about it just seems great, it just seems like a classic Big Brother season.

I'm am watching it right now.

I absolutely LOVE the house, the graphics, and the eye. My favorite of all-time right now which is definitely making things enjoyable. I also like every housemate so far apart from Tracey, Laura, and Carole.

And I think i'm going to like it since for me it's coming after BB11 which sucked.

I also love the all female launch because I ALWAYS prefer female housemates to male ones.

Don't let your opinion of BB11 cloud your judgement of BB8. While BB4 was boring I think some people make that out to be worse than it was because it was sandwiched between BB3 and BB5, 2 of the most watched and popular series.

I agree most female HMs are more entertaining than the men, that's probably why they're voted out first. But the all-female launch just spelt trouble. It was still kind of a social experiment but it was also gimmicky, meant from the off you knew there'd be more newbies going in later, and a lot fo them were either fame desperate or anxious/aggressive

The house and female HMs were great.

The male HMs, the overload of twists and how long it went on, were not.

I'm going to at least watch up until Chanelle and Charley leave.

We'll see if I continue watching after that, but I DO really like Samanda so they could keep me watching.

Yes, it does take a dive after Charley leaves.

And Ziggy ruined it for me just like John James ruined BB11 for me. Irritating twats.

ps; and look out for Brians stiffy in the caravan with Charley!

People who say that BB8 was terrible and they hated it, also say BB10 was terrible and they hated it yet I absolutely LOVED BB10 and it almost beats BB7 as my favorite series. So I don't think i'm going to trust those opinions lol and i'll probably end up loving BB8. Because I thought BB10 would be bad based on what people said but I absolutely loved it.

I think it was good until day 62. Once Charley and Chanelle left it became a bit tidious.

Don't know what the big fuss is about Shabnam and Lesley.

Yeah they are somewhat entertaining, but they are also highly unlikeable.

Lesley is overrated, she just bitches and moans about everything. And Shabnam is a fame-seeking bitch. "If I walk...does that mean I won't get any, like, deals? Like magazine deals?" and then acting all excited when she's up for eviction. Nobody bothers me more than people like that who come in and then say a few days later "I wanna leave" or "I'm fine if I go". Maybe that's why I don't like the two of them.

And even if Shabnam hadn't been evicted, she would have walked anyway.

So far all of them are good housemates though except for Carole and Tracey and maybe Laura.

I can tell i'm going to HATE Carole and Tracey later on though. They are already starting to piss me off.

I think because BB7 was such a big year it was hard to reach that standard again, plus CBB5 didn't help.

It was dire. I'm suprised BB9 even happened after that truly disgraceful series.

To be fair to BB8, BBUK has been pretty sh!tty since, BB8 was the beginning, but BB9, BB10, and BB11 have been total crap too.

The housemates are just too aware of the cameras now.
