No it isn't, it's about finding a pop star of some sort and that takes a lot more than being the best singer.

leona lewis isn't a typical mould of a popstar, she won. i think most people tend to judge contestants on who's the best singer.

young. female. not ugly. fantastic voice. balladeer. yeah she really broke the mould there. and if they judged on the best voice then Leon would never have won. Maria or Laura would never have made bottom two. it's not got all that much to do with the voice it's how good looking you are, how likable you are, charisma, artistic potential, stage presence, guts, ect.

i'd rather listen to ndubz than that emo punk **** all time low. both are overrated by a particular market, so there's no point in arguing one is better music.
