It's a bit of a national embarrassment that the ratings for the show are so huge, even compared to the X-Factor.

I would take the moral highground and say Britain's Got Talent is the modern incarnation of a Victorian circus freakshow, the kind that probably kidnapped John Merrick... but that's not really possible being as I am a Big Brother viewer.

Well BB is different to the x factor and BGT. It's the editing of those two shows that is annoying.

It's an embarrassment. Saying it's just light entertainment doesn't make it okay either. You are supporting mediocrity by watching it. Willingly exposing yourself to a cesspool of brain stupifiers. You may as well just set your balls on fire and jump into an oil drum.

Difference is, DS is not proclaiming to be anything. It's not edited for anything. It's not trying to make you think something. And people don't watch it in their millions. Its a bit funny saying that on a BB forum which is basically the same thing. Every BB show is edited, they edit a SHOW to put together to make it entertaining and basically create story lines.

BB is NOT reality. Its a drama passed off as reality. That is the truth. A lot of them may seem like strangers to each other but in the end, they are actors as much as anything because of the way the shows are edited.

The editors can make and break some ones chances to win. That is NOT REALITY.

BB is SUPPOSED to be a point though. Its supposed to be a social experiment which is to show what Britain has to offer but in reality, they just throw in freak after freak and that isn't reality.
