The Final Fantasy IX piano collection is ridiculously beautiful.
And out of every Final Fantasy game, I can't think of a Boss Battle theme more epic than this. Probably because I'm a sucker for 5/4 time and ascending chord sequences  |

I loved the boss battle music on FFXIII
 the Man with the Machine Gun was a great Battle theme as well in the FF8 Dreamworld
