Loving Lucien!

I'm pleased that the two acts I've supported from Day 1 (Shayne and Journey South) are through to the final. I don't mind which of them wins, just as long as it's one of them!

I think Chenai and Nicholas could have done better if Louis would have chosen songs to suit there voices

Had it been up to me, and me alone, Chenai would have stayed a little longer, as would Nicholas, and Chico + Conways would have taken their places, except Chenai would have gone the week Maria went. In turn, Maria would be in the last 4, with Andy coming fifth. I'd have put Shayne fourth, as I honestly don't think he's anything special. Maria 3rd, Brenda 2nd and JS 1st, despite my favourite being Brenda. I think that JS are far more talented and have been slogging it out for ages. Brenda entered on a whim, and she did exceptionally well. *salutes*

I probably want Shayne winning now as I think that he will be the most successful out of the final 3. I wouldnt mind if Journey South won but I dont want Andy to win

I like to see someone win who has an ability to sing various types of songs well and unfortunately although Andy can sing ballads well once he gets out of his comfort zone he loses something, so think either Shayne or Journey South should win over him. Cant wait to see how they fare in the next few months with regard to their careers. Going by past experience - will we remember them this time next year?

I have a feeling that now Brenda has gone it will be a tough race between journey south and Shane. Like busy bee said Andy is just not versatile enough to take it ( in my opinion )
Journey south have played a cunning north east card for votes last week though. They put on a free performance at the town hall but it was only going ahead if they got through last week!!!! |

They dragged Simon along for that, too. He went on stage to say hello, ate some freaky local 'delicacy' that I've never heard of (the local paper seemed to find that point fascinating), visited their parents, and even nipped into JS' local - to use the bathroom. We've been saved one possible torture, at least. Apparently, they did a cover of The Jam's That's Entertainment, which nobody in their right minds should ever even dream of trying to cover.
I don't know about Andy & Sharon, but Shayne did exactly the same thing this week too, and took Louis along for the ride. Sharon has been busy on her book signing tour, of course. Rumour has it that Shayne was massively ahead last week, when Journey South turned in a better performance on the night. So unless he has a very, very bad night tomorrow, it looks like he has it in the bag. |
