I was worried too after watching the video on the official website....but now that I think about it. She did say he'd be standing at the top of the steps....maybe I mistook it for being evicted...

Ben is a major complex character. He is living in an illusion which needs to be challenged. Making him do a stand up routine will be a nightmare for him. That is a suitable punishment I think by the tree. It is brilliant, I'm looking forward to see if he will rise to the challenge or totally die on stage.
