I have just read this and it is awful!! I think it is disgraceful that a forum would allow such things to be said and imo that specific member using such language should be banned without question!!

Ziola you shouldn't have to leave as no doubt that would just be playing into this horrible persons hands but at the same time if it is making you this unhappy maybe it is the best thing in the long run!!

I hope it get's sorted anyway I have friends that have suffered stuff like this and it is dispicable that in todays society it is happening!!

Ziola, I only just saw this thread. This so called friend and administrator seems to be rubbish at both roles. And I can't stand people who disguise their bigotry as 'freedom of speech'.

I'm sorry you're having this abuse - it's disgraceful behaviour and you shouldn't have to put up with it - I hope it's sorted out now. If not, I should do what Charlotte said.

I've had a chat with the admin, and he's told me that he can't really afford to ban this member, because we have a lack of regular users as it is. I can see that from his point of view, but he still refuses to give him into trouble. I'm seriously thinking of telling my parents, as it's really affected me, as you know you hear all these racism activists, adverts on TV and campaigning...

I never bothered with it before, as I never assumed anyone would ever be racist to me. Now I'm really angry, because he's getting away with it, and he'll continue, whether or not it's me he's insulting.

But on a serious note, racism will always be used be weak people. Either ignore it or take more vigerous action, like maybe shooting him/her in there gonads(special place).

Ziola if this is still upsetting you as much as it obviously is then you will be doing the right thing by telling your parents and asking them for some support and advice.

If this site is so poorly subscribed that the admin has to rely on racists as regular members, I would seriously re-consider my choice of forums to hang out at. He has abviously taken the stance that this guy is not so bad and you are not going to get any kind of back up from him.

Just move over here for good we have a lovely room available for the right full time resident and we can have to decorated in whatever colour you would like

I guess you're right Sunny, but I've got so much over there...

I take part in this Roleplay game. Ever heard of VBB? It's similar to that, but on a different subject. I'm a team leader, which means I can moderate in my "team" (there are three teams, the admin is the leader of one, another of the mods is leader of the other, and I'm a leader too). I write fan fiction over there, and have written four books. The admin has produced five covers, (I'm almost at the stage of writing book 5). I feel I have too much to lose by leaving, and I'd much rather stay. However, I have now started a topic, highlighting both of his racist comments to me, and various other comments that he's tried to cover up with pretending it was a joke/sarcasm.

I have been talking to my close friends who are members there. One of them is South African, and another is African American. (The third is English). The two girls who have foreign parents like I do are just as angry as I am, because coincidentally, the guy has insulted both of them too (though never, to my knowledge, in a racist fashion).

The occasional idiot has been banned, but the last guy who was banned was rather similar to Guttridge over here. The guy who was racist to me (who I shall now refer to as 'E') is even worse than the guy who got banned. He has insulted (and I am not joking here) almost every single regular member. I am still unsure where the admin is coming from in refusing to ban him because he has a high post count. The other guy had over 1000 posts, and you know what it took to get him banned?

The guy had found out the admin's last name, and started telling other people. Seems really trivial doesn't it? Compared to racism (and later on, the said user got deleted!), the guy should still be here. I am no longer upset, I am now determined to take action against him.

I made a decision today. I left that forum. I'm sick of all the arguing they have and the fact that I'm getting thrown into the same boat as this other user who is a very paranoid, bitter twisted boy, just because I used to be friendly with him. He took it too far today, so I have left there, and shall now be taking up permanent residence over here.

Who wants some pringles? We're having a party!

It shouldn't have got to the point that you were forced to leave, but it sounds like you're better off out of it. Forums managed in such a way usually grow stagnant quite quickly anyway.

Glad to hear that you've sorted out the problems on the forum Zi!

Although, I admit that I've never found myself in a similar situation to yours, I too feel that it is absurd that one human being should be singled out by another purely for the colour of their skin. I sometimes feel quite guilty, as I can truthfully say that I will never be able to personally understand the situation that you found yourself in, and that often leaves me feeling quite empty. However what I do understand is that forums, such as TiBB gives it's members the chance to express their views and make new friendships, without it being compulsary to give out any information other than your user name. To all of us here, you are yourself: Ziola. Your skin colour cannot talk for you. You talk for yourself, and that is what we respect you for.

As it has been stated in previous posts, we're all here to support you when you need reassurance or sympathy: If ever, and whenever you're feeling down, don't be afraid to ask and we'll help you through it!
