I wonder if the OP realises what a fireman's helmet he looks. Ever think he may also wear shorter length trousers because full length trousers can wrap around the artificial legs seeing as they are smooth metal.Causing the user to unbalance.

Most users of similar above the knee prosthetic limbs also wear long shorts, except on more formal occasions

He maybe wearing the short trousers for comfort...i can understand that and perhaps there is a hint of truth in it...but by and large im certain its 90% done for sympathy and so he can be a pervert around girls and no one will say anything because he is disabled.

its also to satisfy the staff at the benefits office when he goes to collect his disability allowance and war veterans payments.....im sure he claims whatever he can his grubby hands on.

Yeah, but you've got to remember the OP is in full rant now, and would never consider, even for a second, that anyone else might have a valid viewpoint.

Instead of eviction odds, maybe we should be running a book on how long it takes him to get himself a ban again.

I would check your facts first, how do you know he gets disability allowance? He does get a full medical pension from the forces, however there are checks that the Benefits people use to ascertain entitlement to disability. Could I refer you to the case of Aron Shelton.

there maybe a possibility he wears those revealing clothes for comfort...i slightly agree with this but on the whole but I suspect he is doing it for sympathy from the public and housemates and to satisfy the staff at the benefits claim office.

shasown...i dont know for certain but i strongly suspect it...im sure he hasnt done a day of work...since the injuries...this is harsh but in a way i reckon he is glad of the injury as it has allowed him to sit back for 20 years jobless and having 10 kids and 3 wives..

I maybe wrong here, but i think i read somewhere or he said it, that he wants to show his disabilities to promote awareness in the fact that he didnt receive the sort of compo that todays lads get when disabled in the line of duty.

Look Toothy, i agree his eye does not look great and his arm scar is not nice, but i for one say he has every right to be able to show them and not have to hide his disfigurement like its some sort of plague. And the fact is, it doesnt matter how he got them..in the line of duty, as a passerby, or in a car crash....he still has the right to lead as much a normal life as you or me.

So really you have no idea about what you are accusing him of, indeed you have no real idea of what you are talking about then, it just sounds good to you?

Go have a read of his profile or some of the write ups on various online newspapers sites and you will see he does good voluntary work for the Help For Heroes Charity, the Army Benevolent Fund, and the military recovery and rehabilitation centre Headley Court, amongst others.

Even if he does claim disability allowance and gets it, I would say he is entitled to it. Even if he worked and was entitled to it he would get it, same as a civilian with similar injuries.

you make a sensible and well balanced argument in favour of the slob but a normal life is where he should be...not on a reality show for entertainment.

Surely even a thick peasant like steve would know he is being used by channel4 as a token gesture in the same way 'extreme' or 'wacky' muslims have been housemates just to prove a point....the gay shabaz and the beer guzzling sidekick of rex ..MO are classic examples.

Its not actually a war pension, he gets a medical pension from the MOD, same as any other injured serviceman, regardless of whether they were injured in combat or not.
