I'd rather have that then 3D or motion controls I think although motion would have worked with a bit more work, RE4 had excellent MCs in fact I liked them better then the normal controls it was just that a fair few other games didn't have the same level of thought behind the control system.

Nintendo ain't stupid so I can only surmise they think getting into the next-gen market first will have them all set up for the next half decade or so. Seems Sony could really use a break right now.
