Yes this is it.
It reminded me of some Vancouver rioters asked what they thought of a horrifying situation where young men circled around two girls and howled laughing as they 'sucker-punched' them. Some were 'high-fiving' and hooting and getting photos taken of them squealing victory dances in front of the 'KO'ed' girl.
The youth, with pure sincerity, as if a little indignant at the ignorant interviewer explained (as if obvious):
Hey! Those two bitches should NOT have been there. That's what happens. So it's their own fault. They deserved it.
This is 2011. In Vancouver. A seemingly modern city. This was what the youth were thinking. About 20 years old.
I honestly would have believed we (as a civilization) were finally past any realistic possibilities of another Hitler or Mao,
but,
when I see this kind of 'soulessness' I am truly worried we are headed to some kind of horrifying disaster in the 21st century.
