Even if they updated us every 10 minutes I couldn't care less. It would be like your mate calling you from the cinema telling you what's happening, pointless & completely uninteresting.

It's worse than nothing, they're taking the piss. If Albania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Nigeria, Israel can all have LFs why can't we?

Imagine if they had done this last year, it would just be bias clips of John & Josie, you don't think that is worse than nothing?

Posts like these are counter-productive, the producers read here undecided, see posts like this, think we'll all roll over as easy as you will, resigned to defeat and then take the cheapest option.

Mate they would have decided by now wether they are having live feed or not anyway.

Do you really think they come on TIBB and make the show based on our opinions?

No, but they will read these forums to see what the general feel is about the show as a whole and posts like yours will subconsciously influence their decision, which Jeff Ford has said hasn't been made yet.

Though 40% of the big decisions for BB11 were inspired by DS members .

People don't like to admit it but the actual Live feed is REALLY flawed and isn't up to a great standard at all. I can understand personal information being sounded out but it is a nonsense when they sound out a lot on the live feed.

It completely makes the live feed pointless if i can't hear the conversations.

I was glad live feed was there but I am not that bothered if it went now,as you said too it had a great many flaws and therefore annoyance to it.

Video updates are no replacement for a proper feed. It doesn't even come close.

For me, live feed means I can stick it on while I'm cooking or cleaning and I don't have to have my full attention on it, but if something interesting happens, I can see it.

It means that I can stick it on at night and listen to conversations that I find interesting (because believe it or not, some HM's do have intelligent conversations) but producers don't deem 'entertaining' enough to make video clips and the HL's.

Sometimes you can learn alot about people from what they don't say and from their facial expressions, you see alot more of this on LF, even with the birdsong. You get to see alot more of peoples interactions that you'd never see on the HL's, but the HL's has to cut so much out to fit it into an hour and priority will be given to events that are funny, argumentative etc.

It also means seeing more of tasks, seeing reactions to nominations and evictions, the shopping list, lots of stuff that I find interesting.

Video clips on facebook (or any site for that matter) mean 30 seconds of a conversation, or more likely a video of someone falling over, with a 40 second advert preceding it. There will probably only be a dozen clips each day. It takes away the convenience of being able to watch/listen while you're busy because you have to be at the computer or phone, clicking each video. I'm not totally against videos and they were a great addition to the website, especially since you can view them on a phone while out and about, but they should be used alongside LF, not as a replacement.

If I'm completely honest, I'd never use the facebook page because most people I know would give me grief for watching bb, so I don't want it spead all over my facebook that I do watch it. On the same note, I don't want big brother spread thinly all over the net. If I want news, I'd rather go to one dedicated site than have to go to a channel 5 site, youtube, facebook, twitter and god knows what else, in addition to the two BB forums I use.

Having said all that, I'm not taking it as gospel that live feed is gone until it is confirmed. I just wanted to rant a bit.

Rant over.

Have you told channel5 this and i agree with you.How can it be BB if you cant see it.The whole concept of BB is being seen 24/7 having read 1984.The show wont last 2 weeks without it diving in the ratings, how the hell is is going to make it through 17 potential weeks i dont know.

I haven't told channel 5 exactly that, but I did use the website you posted on twitter (I'm crunchynut86). I totally agree that 17 weeks of bb without a feed is going to fail miserably, which is such a shame, to be honest, as much as I love bb, 17 weeks was always going to be a tough one. I find during a series, I'll often have a week or two in the middle where I lose interest (BB 8 and 10 spring to mind) although I pick it up again towards the end. I just hope channel 5 have something spectacular up their sleeves, I doubt it though.

You're embaressed about people seeing you watch the show on facebook?

Christ grow some balls.

Look i 100% agree that we should have live feed, Its what BB's all about but lets face it it doesnt look like we will be getting it. If it is the case that it doesnt come back then all im saying is that if there are constant videos posted every hour (not 30 second clips) then i will be happier then nothing at all.

And you dont need to go on twitter, youtube and facebook to keep up to date. I for one will be posting the links and news on here as im sure others will so we can all keep up with the goings on.

Im praying live feed returns but if not then we are gonna have to make the best of a bad situation.

Until we do get an official announcment though i agree we need to hound Channel 5 and i have signed the twitter page and sent Channel 5 an email (which i never even got a response to which really tells me they dont care coz i didnt even get an automated thanks for emailing message either).

If we dont even get a few hours of live feed in the afternoon or at night though i wont be happy.

Like i said before, 2 hour live feed after evictions would be perfect so we can see the housemates reactions. Also whenever the live feed is on in the evening i think the housemates should be ploughed with booze so people will actually want to watch lol

No need to be rude, it's my opinion, it's valid and I'm sticking to it

It's not so much that I'm embarrassed, but I can't be bothered with people telling me how rubbish the programme is, which people did, alot. Unfortunately the majority of people I know thing BB is cheap, tacky, trash TV and would be delighted if the house was blown up. Not my view, but I don't tell everyone I watch it, because I don't want other people to ruin it for me. I bet I'm not the only one who thinks like that.

The thing is with the fb, twitter etc, is that I want to be able to go to one place for all my info and know I've seen it all, not have to click links all over the web (especially when I'm on my phone), it's just my personal preference and I don't see how spreading it all over the place makes it easier or better for anyone?

I agree though, it would have been nice to get some kind of response from channel 5, even if it was an automated reply as at least it would show they cared what viewers think.

As for making the best of a bad situation, I hope you're not saying that if the feed doesn't come back then you're just going to accept it and move on? Back when C4 dropped the feed, I was one of the ones who hounded them constantly, emailling any one who had anything to do will BB until we got it back, and it was worth it. The more people who refuse to quit, the better the chances we have.
