I usually try to make myself sick, drink like 5 glasses of water and take 2-4 paracetamol (or 2 ibuprofen)

You can, yes. I never knew it was possible until I actually experienced it one or two weeks ago. It's less painful than vomiting food, I'd say, but more vomit comes out.

I'd advise the user to take gentle sips of hot water, with a hint of salt thrown in.

Ice water. Drink it and fill it up until all the ice has melted. Always does the trick for me. I call it the "piss the pain away" method.

(DISCLAIMER: Do not go on any long road-trips immediately after this method)
