The main Big Brother TV advert this year would be designed to feel like a movie trailer. It would open with a fade from black, panning empty streets, filled with missing posters pinned to posts and walls, and blowing along the street. Then the camera would cut to a skyline shot of London, with large pink beams lifting people into the sky. It would then change to skyline views of several large UK cities to reveal the same thing happening there. At the last city, the camera would rotate, so that it was looking down at the city from above, then zoom out rapidly to space, revealing that the beams of light are all focusing on a large eye, hovering above the Earth. The advert would then end with a countdown to the date of the launch show. Towards the end of the advert, the remixed theme music would begin to echo faintly in the background and get gradually louder. Running time would be approx 30 seconds.

Wee preview for the normal BB ads. Still not finished working on them yet. These ads will be filmed inside a concrete bunker styled set, using lighting and holograms (CGI obv)

Promotional TV advertising:

While the 'Invasion Ads' provide a unique way to promote Big Brother 13, they do little to entice anyone to watch. The next set of ads resolve that problem. They would begin airing 3 weeks before launch night, cross channel. 5, 5*, 5US, ITV1, ITV2, C4, 4music and Sky 1 will all air this advert at least once. Almost every break on C5 will feature the advert. There are a series of 3. The first, and longest is the first I'll post here. You can see it below.

The ad will air in the order of the screen grabs below. It will start with clouds drifting slowly and the remixed Big Brother theme playing in the background. The text will then drift onto the screen and disappear. At the end, the eye will appear like a hologram in the clouds. The running time is 25 seconds.

£270,000 - I hope there is a reason. I like nice round numbers - £250,000 would be about right for BB (although with the way the economy has gone, the £100,000 jackpot seems a better prize than it was a couple of years ago now).

I was gonna do 250k but couldn't work out what that is divided over 9 weeks lol so it went to 270k instead. Who knows what the winner could actually walk away with though???

Thanks guys! Not been able to post a lot lately because I've been helping out getting a lot of work done around our house. I finally have a bit more free time now tho
