Truer words have not been spoken. If people really did VTS that week, Rebeckah would have won that vote by a mile. Instead people turned that into a Vote to evict the other person, thus evicting the wrong person.

VTS really only comes into effect with 3 or more people.

i've been a long time advocate for vote to save, and i think it definitely makes some difference. for last nights vote, i'm sure it would NEVER have been as close as it was (half a percent diff, with a vote to evict). this is pure speculation, but lets say - tonight went something like - SAVE aaron 70.5% aden 15% heaven 14.5%. i'm sure if it was a vote to EVICT would have been much different, with probably something like heaven 60%, aden 30% aaron 10%.

i'm sure one of the main reasons save voting has never been used from the start is that they wont get the amount of revenue from votes, when people get an impassioned hate for someone, they receive massive evict votes.

as an alternative concept, i'd like to see (in at least the first few weeks), the public voting online...on their FAV housemates, and the three with the least public votes are up for eviction. and THEN a vote to save. the housemates can nominate as per normal, but they wouldn't know that their nominations are irrelevant. the only downside with this concept is that it's only good for one season.

remember too, with you calling the vote to save ''a flop'', particularly with the previous week eviction, when it was rebeckah vs heaven. it's the housemates who nominated these people, ie. more controversial, loud, annoying, entertaining housemates, and gave the public these options.

I think they need to put more people up for eviction each week. Because besides Tashie the boring people aren't being nominated because they are not offending anyone. The more people up the better chance a boring person has of being nominated and the better shot the most interesting people get saved each week but until that happens the 15 year old girls will just continue to ruin the voting each week.

Solve it all and everyone is up for eviction each week. There for nobody can target indviduals in order to get them out. Everyone is equally vunerable.

Tashie woudnt have gone, Rebekah wouldnt have or Heaven would have gone.....

Week 1: Anton
Week 2: Tashie
Week 3: Tom

Based on TIBB Polls

By doing this you are taking away the nomination process which is part of the BB story for both housemates and the viewers.

I was a fan of vote to save but am not so sure now.

I'm coming around to the idea of all being up very week with a vote to evict. But that would take away an important aspect of BB, i.e. the nominations.

A dilemma!

Vote to Save will only work when there's a big number of HMs facing eviction e.g. BB10 when Hira went or BB11 quadruple eviction. Otherwise if it's a vote between 2 or 3 people then the public will simply still vote out the entertaining ones. It happened in CBB3 with Jackie vs John and then John vs Bez, and in CBB5 when Jackiey was evicted over Jack Tweed

It has flopped... we could have had Aden out this week because he is dull and yet he survived over the one that causes friction... it'll be all happy families now until somebody kicks off.

Its unfair to say it has flopped because you did not get the result you wanted IMO.

I think most would agree that with VTE heaven would have left with a HUGE percent, and the week before Rebeckah would also still have left, probably with a bigger percentage too.

vote to evict would have had heaven gone at an even higher percentage though, and rebeckah.. and tashie

so its sucky either way - the public to blame

If it was vote to evict I still think Tashie and Rebeckah would have still gone but I'm not sure about last night. I was expecting Aden to go.

I agree with the poster earlier who said the first 2 results were totally right and last nights being the only wrong one so far.

Under vote to evict, Heaven would have had no chance at all of staying last night as it was she was only under half a percent from being saved, okay she still went but it shows the likely difference and better chances under vote to save rather than to evict.

For me it's juts a pity since Brian now mentions who got the most votes on eviction night, that he doesn't say when it is as close as that when he talks to the house and announces who is evicted.

Aden and Anton would have panicked had he said and the 3rd person to leave the BB house but by only less than half a percent was, then announce the name after a minute or so.

I can't say for sure but I think Aden might have gone instead if it had been Vote to Evict.

I would have to agree on that, as Heaven supporters and also Aarons too would have likely in the main voted for Aden to go.

Well as Ch5 refuse to publish the voting figures, it makes you wonder what they have to hide.

With no live feed and not releasing the figures, they can engineer this series any way they like.

You wouldn't say Aden has been boring though, maybe now but not the first couple of weeks. He got a lot of airtime.

Vote to save is meant to keep the housemates that do a lot in the house, but get unpopularity because of it.
