Even though I would agree that Kanye is a better artist (cos he's been here for longer obv) those lyrics I've pointed out are virtually the same style as Dev's.

No because Kanye was partially unique when he started. Dev is a carbon copy of all other ****ty mainstream, autotuned artists nowadays.

Who gives a damn about lyrics! The song is catchy.
Tune > lyrics

If musicians / producers etc. paid more attention to the lyrics of a song over tune and melody, then this would be a very boring world.
