Yeah. I also think that there was human life on earth just like us millions of years ago that got wiped out just like we will and the whole thing will start again.

The universe is to big for there not to be other life out there. There has to be bacteria or plants atleast.

Alot of people say nothing could live on certain planets but just because we couldnt doesnt mean another life needs oxygen or cooler temperatures or the same conditions we need to survive.

I could go on about this forever lol

The First People? I'm pretty sure it's not possible for that to be the case.

These civilisations can be measured in thousands of years past, not millions.

The First People is a term I got from a Tv show that pondered the existence of humans before the dinosaurs. Nothing to do with cavemen, that came after.

Our wires obviously crossed a while back.

Because, from what I learnt, the state of the planet was not habitable for the human species.

Humans as well as other living things can evolve.

Maybe back then we could survive on the conditions on the planet but millions of years on and after a huge climate change humans have adapted/evolved to survive in these new conditions.

I believe there is, they're either humanoids that are at the same stage of the ladder as us or we're the most advance civilization right now

I'm sure I learnt at school there were some scientific facts and evidence to suggest it was impossible for humans to exist before the dinosaurs. I can't remember what it was exactly, it's getting my research juices flowing.

You do realise Atlantis is not a proven fact?

You are right. The atmosphere was very different than it is today, and there were no mammals around at that time, either. A species like ours, evolving from apes (who are also mammals and as such didn't exist then either) would have been eaten in seconds.

A good question would be if we think there is a higher intelligence in the universe besides ourselves. To that I would have to be Undecided. But yes, I'd say life in some form exists away from our planet.

No.

And we'll never know. We'll be long dead before any of that stuff surfaces, so it's best we just get over it.

Well if we don't make the developments today then the results won't be rewarded later, will they?

If everyone had the lazy attitude of not bothering then we'd never develop over generations to the point of discovering anything. If generations of the past had simply said "Artificial light doesn't exist so let's get over it" we'd still be using candles.

I always thought it was quite foolish to think that we are alone. We'll never know in our lifetime for certain but I always imagined there being a number of planets just like ours somewhere with people and animals that are more or less like us who are probably pondering the same thing.

Yes because out of all the planets in the universe I find it very unlikely that Earth is the only planet with life on it.

I think the universe is far too big for us to be the only life forms. Even if there's just some micro-organisms or something, there has to be something else.

I don't believe that there is even life on earth. I believe its all a manifestation of somethings mind or the extent of the universe is just an illusion.
