I'm a huge fanboy for the original too but that's never happening. It had some of the best maps and I found the weird capture the thing excuse for a campaign mode oddly engrossing. It was obsessive and tough as nails.

I'm not sure what to think of them. I like the idea of the Wii U's tablet/controller thing, but Nintendo don't seem to know which direction to pursue. They're trying to keep the Wii U looking family friendly, but are pushing to get back the hardcore gamers? They need to make their minds up.

They just seem so half assed lately. Most of their recent products have been meh at best (to my opinion at least). The 3D on the 3DS seemed little more than a gimmick to my mind, and it seems that the Wii U's controller will just lose its novelty very quickly.

I do agree with that, its like they're trying to appeal to both markets instead of picking one, the Wii U is doomed to be a failiure, it can never live up to the success of the Wii, and when the new Microsoft and Sony consoles are announced everyone will forget about the Wii U

Exactly. They can't exactly expect the non-casual market to flock to their console when the only games they extensively promote are cutesy Mario titles (not that Mario ain't great, but still).

And yeah. They're silly by being the first to launch. Unless they smash the price down real low to compete (which I don't see happening given how expensive the controller looks) then they don't have a hope in hell. I don't want them dominating the next generation anyway. Nintendo irritate me far to much now. All they do is milk anything they sell for money. They don't care if its ****, only if it will make them $$$ or not.

I like the WiiU controller, I think it could actually be really cool. It's obvious the Pro Controller will be a secondary thing, like the retro controller or w/e they called it for the Wii.

Still can't see myself getting a WiiU.
