A source told heatworld.com: “Adele has barely left the house in recent months, so she could keep this to herself for as long as possible.
The insider added: “She stopped exercising a few months ago, and since then it’s been all about the baby.”
Adele, 24, told fans she and boyfriend Simon Konecki were “over the moon” to be expecting their first child.
The pop superstar — who has been dating Simon, 36, since late last year — revealed the happy news on her website on June 29.
She wrote: “I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together.
“I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx.”
At the weekend we revealed the singer is recording an album of nursery rhymes especially for her nipper – and is playing the tunes to her bump.
A source said: “She has been playing the rhymes to her belly.
“It’s so Adele can get her voice as close as possible to the baby so it can hear as many soothing sounds as possible.”
