I don't really think that it was a materialistic thing to say because she said she would just use it to buy what she needs or keep it in the bank.

It was fascinating watching Caroline, who apparently has never earned a penny in her life, and sponges off her rich parents, discussing materialism and its failings with Deana.

I've become a real fan of Deana too. She seems refreshingly straight forward. Thinks we all hate her, so just says what she thinks. And, I think she actually wants out at this stage. She certainly doesn't seem too enthused about staying - and who could blame her? The poor girl has no real friend in there. Yet she doesn't bother with tears or hysterics. Her strength is admirable.
It would be hilarious if she beat out one of the cool gang in an eviction. Watch the scramble to be her best freind then! And watch guys like Conor actually wait a week or two, just so as it won't be too obvious, to tell us he's 'seen another side of Deana.' If it happens it'll be great tv. Her value system isn't identical to my own. I think she is a more practical person when it comes to money. But - what's wrong with that? Different strokes for different folks. As an aside, I must say Arrons behaviour has been surprisingly ok over the last few episodes. I always had him pegged as a harmless, somewhat gormless young fella, and I'm now pretty sure that's all he is. He tried to have a silly fauxmance with Sara, and got a bit po'd when she was having none of it. But I'd forgive him that. She's gorgeous. She's probably never met a single guy that didn't try it on. Arron might have seen the dollar signs of magazine deals, but sure aren't they all going to try and amake a few bob from this? Also, after BB pointed out that Deana had no friends, he seems to have taken it somewhat easier on her. Fair play to him on that. He might be a idiot - but he does seem pretty harmnless. Or, am I wrong? |

I wouldn't describe her as brave, she only told Luke S because Becky overheard her bitching and Scott confirmed that she was talking about Luke and Ashleigh's relationship, leading Luke S to confronting her about it and even then she tried to share the blame with other people. She also seemed to backtrack on what she'd said, when she was talking to Ashleigh.

excellent point. she handled the initial argument with aplomb. but her revenge was a bit clumsy. how can she differentiate between adam and ash and blame the showmance on him 100% ? absurd...this is why lauren or adam may beat her in the end.

There is no doubt if it was anyone else, they'd backtrack furiously and try to smooth it all over. 'No Luke, I didn't say that Luke, I didn't mean it like that Luke, sorry Luke, how high should I jump Luke? ![]() She didn't mean her. She didn't refer to Ashleigh once. She was talking about Luke S only. I don't think she even thought about Ashleigh, cos she seemed to feel bad when talking to Ash in the bathroom. |

to just blame luke s for the showmance is absurd, if thats her line of thinking going forward she will lose votes....theyre both up to their necks in the showmance...deana wasnt brave in the luke s really , she had been heard she had no option but to not back down. she did well in the initial debate but when she let ash off the hook totally she showed some double standards

I admire Deana very much. The bullying and nastiness of several of the hms towards her would have made me leave if I had been in her shoes. Her honesty over Ashleigh/Luke was brilliant. She is a very strong person.

If she thinks the whole showmance is fake, why did she say it wasn't fake on Ash's part. If anything, it's more fake on her part. That is the only question mark I have over Deana. She only seems to dish it out on a selective basis.

Although it is true that most of the falsity in the relationship is down to Ashleigh, unlike us, Deana, nor the others know this. The midnight tryst with Conor is still hidden.
I think that they are all taking the conventional route that if it looks false it must be the male who is stringing the female along - not so in this case. This also explains why Ashleigh was not keen to prolong the conversation with Deana. She would find it tricky to deny any falsity when she knows the truth and so does Conor. Didn't the latter defend Deana at one point? Last edited by WCR1942; 02-07-2012 at 10:17 AM. |

I think Deana and the others know a lot more than we think, but they have not told Luke S but just bitched about it behind his back. I do not think Arron knows either, because he would have said something, he is the most honest and real in that house with Luke S TBH, they do not say things behind people's back. |
