I voted "yes, i don't like her now" because there wasn't a " no, i never liked her before and still bloody don't (nor do i like her face that she so obviously stole from a horse!)" option.

The woman had one part on one TV Show yet in her mind she is the greatest actress to grace our screens in the history of television. Talk about an over-inflated self opinion!

Cannot bear her. Had high hopes when she first entered, but since then, she has slipped to the very bottom of the pile in my opinion. She is two faced, but clever with it, putting on this whole matriarch type persona. Her swearing is abominable, and she slyly bitches about others in a less obvious way. Get her out.

She had one part in a soap for near decades on and off, covering over 2000 episodes.making a character really believeable and loved by most of the viewing public.
Much as Patricia Phoenix did with Elsie Tanner.
She was always called Elsie by the fans of Corrie apparantly,as Julie is always affectionately known as Bet Lynch too.

She won a fair few accolades for the role over the years she was in Corrie and still, her character has not been killed off,Bet Lynch could return one day,even for a short storyline.
Many actors and actresses are only known for one part in the main through their careers, they can rarely shake it off or maybe even don't want to.
Julie had great storylines at times and acted them to perfection from what I have seen of old episodes of Corrie and she was adored by the Corrie viewing public.

Coronation Street has been a consistently massively popular non stop TV series for over 50 years now, one of its real legends and icons is for sure Julie Goodyear as Bet Lynch among others.
She has much to crow about as to her role in Corrie,a great deal in fact.

All you say about Julie in Coronation Street is clearly true. However, Martin Kemp has not brought Reggie Kray into the house - Julie may have brought Bet...so it's still a bit hard to decide over Julie in this programme.

Martin Kemp didnt play Reggie Kray for 20 years & to be honest he hasnt actually brought much to the house so far. The most ive seen of was him crying with laughter at the table with Julie & Julian over Ashley.

A little bit of Bet isnt a bad thing like on the first night task just so long has on the whole she is Julie.

Well said,Martin has not used his pop star image,his actor image or indeed his medical back story,Julie has her moments,but for me they ARE just moments,she is coming across as very insincere and false,and that swearing is getting tedious now.

No,but he has done far more acting roles that he could have brought in,his acting career far supercedes Julie Goodyears,she has a reputation,which must have it's roots,not everyone is making stuff up,I mean even her fella couldn't back that one up!

Yes, her high level swearing does not create a good image really - it's a bit off-putting from a woman of her age (so sorry if that sounds sanctimonious - but it just doesn't suit her).

In terms of acting parts then yes in terms of long standing character then no.

Fair enough if you dont like her but personally i dont think there is anything wrong with her reverting back to Bet Lynch like she did on the first night in the task. If martin did the same in a task or came out with certain character traits from parts he had played i would say the same, its not a big deal to me.

For me Julie is interesting viewing and that is all I care about. So what if her husband wasn't a stalker. The story was amusing to listen to. What''s all this BS about sincere and insincere? They all sincerely want to WIN! Let the performers perform and the dull be sacked .
