Well i think all parents have a secret fantasy that their children will be as much like them as possible, so of course i'd love it. I think it would be fantastic to be able to share that struggle with them. but I'd obviously love a str8 child just as much. I don't think it would be a huge deal, but of course you imagine your child is gonna be like a little mini you, so it would be nice if they were gay.

Well alot of people are homophobic and if I had a child who was very gay acting I'd be worried for his/her safety. As a parent the worst thing imaginable is one of my kids being harmed

you do realize that's the same excuse people used against inter-racial children right? they will be rejected by both races, no one will understand, they will be bullied, i just wouldn't want a child to have to face that kind of discrimination...

Let's face it. Kids are going to disappoint you, always. If you have expectations you will be disappointed.

I'm sure 99% of us would love and care for our child no matter who or what they are. It's a short life, and you're an idiot to waste it being angry or resentful.

I hope my kids are surprising and creative and nothing like what i expect, cause that means i can learn something from them. (but deep down i'll still hope they wanna be like me)

On topic, I dont think it would bother me at all, except for worrying more about the child possibly being bullied. I would be very proud that they had told me though rather than bottling it all up inside as clearly I have done a good job of parenting
