She basically came up the same way as GaGa. Rich parents but working hard on their own performing in clubs and that.

but she didn't just work hard and succeed. actually she failed, then her parents intevened, and gave her a new name, and a big record contract. She didn't get those things on her own like Gaga.

How did her parents get her the contract exactly? I am pretty sure they wouldn't have signed her if she was not good enough. Plus she has a number 1 album so she doesn't exactly lack the necessary talent.

I really like Born To Die, but let's be honest, she can't sing very well. I really like Katy Perry too, I know she can't sing very well aswell.
