Since there's 'We're all in this together' spray painted across the double doors, perhaps David Cameron will walk through them in an X Factor judges style entrance and announce that all the celebrities in the basement have lost their fees and will have to work for them under the 'no something for nothing' regime.

Channel 5 has released pictures of a mysterious ‘basement’ in the new Celebrity Big Brother 2013 house, in which some of the housemates will be forced to live in squalor!

Instead of enjoying the usual champagne meet-and-greet, this time an unlucky few will instead face having to move in to the dark and grimy slum, which is littered with debris.

It is not yet clear how these celebs will be chosen, but Big Brother promises that it ‘will divide them and test them like never before’.

Despite its name, the basement appears to be the large task room, located off the garden.

The Daily Star previously reported that the new line-up – rumoured to include the likes of Steps singer Claire Richards, Neighbours actor Ryan Moloney and X Factor contestant Rylan Clark – would be ‘put through hell’ in the ‘toughest series yet’.
