You're missing the point. It's a TV show. It's NOT reality. We're being entertained ( or not ) and we're commenting on how the contestants are portraying themselves on the show.

But the HMs aren't actors, they're real people, so I think we should judge them fairly..

There really is no point trying to second guess what the housemates do, they're in a stressful situation and they're bound to act weird at any point. We can say any of the housemates are fake, because we truly don't know.

I think some are a good judge of character,and the HM's can only hide their personalities for so long in that house until the real "X" shows. So I think we're basing our decisions on what we see... We can do no more. And if someone's acting, or being fake, it's pretty much noticeable IMO, And i think Ash isn't being herself atall.. It's pretty obvious she isn't too, as she's had two personality changes sofar.

It's nothing to do whether they are actors or not. It's about how they are portraying themselves on the show.

You might be right. All of them might be fake. But if that's the case then Aisleyne has absolutely no skills in hiding it!!!

Maybe the topic title should be changed from "Who is the most fake?" to "Who appears to be the most fake?"

Yes, but we're judging by our standards, in the house it's a completely different thing. She has had the hardest time out of anyone in there and she seems to be weakened by the whole expereience. The thing is, we can't tell if people are being fake or not, things change, we don't get shown all of them, we don't know them personally, so we should just accept that that is how they are.

I totally disagree, we have gotten to know their patterns in their characters... we've known them now for what...2/3 months?? And say you met someone at a club or party, you automatically judge them, and study their behavioural patterns to get to know them...and you can then start to predict their actions, maybe we should then instead of saying, fake, maybe unpredictable... either way, they're not a stable or real character...

But the thing is, we aren't psychologists, people just make assumptions based on what.. one hour of footage?

It's big brother, some are bound to be fake, but some aren't, and we can label every single one of their actions as "playing up to the cameras" or "being two faced" no matter what they do. It's a pointless excercise really.

psychologists weren't born with special powers, they are human like us, and so everyone has the ability to be a good judge of character. In the BB house, you see HMs' lows and highs, which is pretty much what you'd see of them outside the house, they may filter some of the character they want people to see on TV but surely they do that outside aswell?? I think knowing someone in the BB house for 3 months is more or less like knowing them outside the BB house, and so we can pass judgement, and predict them to an extent. Which means if the housemate was acting unpredictable, then we'd notice...and so lead us to believe they were trying to filter their personality through means of change, and become someone they're not...which I would call fake.

I agree with you I guess, but alot of people when asked this question will just say "ash is fake cause she cries alot" they don't bother to think to deeply, and I consider that unfair personally, that was pretty much the point I was trying to make. Everyone just makes assumptions and jumps to conclusions when they could say the same for pretty much everyone else in there.
