Why are you being so optimistic and defensive for C5 in every thread? Face the facts they've disappointed fans again a week before the series has even started.

They could atleast move the stage or build a temporary studio to replace the stage.

FFS theres loads of different options.

A studio for an interview is needed yes but that doesn't mean it has to be in a tacky stage setting.

That could easily be said to you about being negative in every thread Salman...

And they havent disappointed all the fans just the ones that are obsessing over the graphics and other things that basically don't matter to the series.

Well what do you expect, I like most others had such high hopes this year. None of what they've given us is of a good standard.

It hasnt even started yet and some people are finding everything they can to moan about like they do every series, at least wait until it launches before harping off about them letting you all down.

Using clouds 6 series in a row is something perfectly logical to get pissed off about.

Serioously as a mod you don't seem to have a very balanced opinion at all.

Its not moan moan moan it just some people not being impressed as much as yourself.

Most people on here have praised Channel 5 for the changes but they have failed with promotion and it looks like the outside set up is not going to change as promised.

You don't discuss you just shut people down.

Just out of curiosity, what would you prefer to be a backdrop?

I do have a balanced opinion Daniel but it's one thing having a negative opinion but it's completely different constantly moaning in nearly every thread about things that shouldnt really matter.

Just because you think the design of the eye isn't important or the stage and design isn't important doesn't mean that's true.

A massive part of the BB build up is getting excited about changes to the house and set ect.

Like I said just because you don't think something is important that doesn't really mean its not important to others.

Yes Channel 5 started off well with promo this year but then let fans down as that fizzled out quite quickly and now promo is non existent outside of the forums and Channel 5 so people are angry its not getting the same special treatment as CBB, Plus lack of originality with the clouds when theres so many graphics they could use its just lazy.

I never said it wasnt important to others, the last comment of mine you quoted was my opinion, just like you have yours.

I don't think the graphics, stage etc is any where near as important as them getting the right mix of housemates for the series, it's the housemates that make or break it and it's them we focus on throughout the entire thing, nothing else.

Some people do moan about everything they do.

What I mean is it needs to be made more spacious and simple like C4.

Btw who are you kidding thinking its not going to be all flashy with neon lights and massive screens plastered over the house so its unrecognisable.

For the first time in years I would actually like to see the structure of the house and not just a "set".
Yes I have been to many evictions as well VIP at the launch, the staging allows a better quality of camera shots, the problem with the Channel 4 layout was it was falling apart.

The actual walkway needed to be completely re-made and now the layout looks professional and firm, it doesn't really need to be changed. It works?

I'm really getting sick of seeing people being lambasted for taking an interest in the way the show is presented and produced, be it the graphics, titles, house design, outside set, use of sound effects/music/lights on eviction nights, highlight show editing...the list goes on. I appreciate not everybody has an interest in these things, it's kind of a specific area, but I do think you get two different types of Big Brother fans. Either fans that watch the show looking for good housemates, or fans that look for the same but are also, as I mentioned, interested in the show's production values. And those people that are I would say generally have an interest in that side of TV anyway, whether it's about Big Brother, X Factor...whatever show. Some people notice those kind of things, casual viewers may not care but some people do...some people have jobs in these areas ffs.

Anyone that does take an interest in how the show is produced and presented is aware that it isn't as important as casting, we're not stupid, but that doesn't mean we aren't allowed to criticise the production of the show...we are diehard fans after all, and this is a Big Brother forum, what do you seriously expect? If you went on to a proper TV forum you would see much more in depth discussion about the production values of shows even like Loose Women, so in the grand scheme of things I really don't think we're that bad.

But even so, people have different interests. Some people don't care about how shows are produced and are just your average viewer looking to be entertained - that's fine. But some people do take an interest (hence why there's jobs and professions in those areas), and it is really unfair to keep being made out to be freaks to care about these things. Some people collect stamps, others are fascinated by football league tables...and others are interested in how TV, and much more importantly our favourite TV show, is produced. What's wrong with that? This is a bloody TV forum, this is the kind of discussion you should be expecting, I wish some people on here would realise that.

No one was being lambasted Jack, I think thats a bit of an over reaction but everyones entitled to an opinion and my opinion is that some people take the graphics and things like the stage far too seriously and in my opinion being negative in almost every thread is a bit unfair on the members that don't really bother with those things, hate the graphics and whatever else but don't try and put a downer on the whole thing for others.

I also think the casual fans that watch on tv but don't post about it on forums and stuff couldnt care less what they eye, house etc look like..

We aren't being lambasted? That's hilarious, in just about every thread I've seen where the graphics or outside set have been discussed in detail between likeminded people who also have an interest in such areas has resulted in people who don't have an interest entering the thread (God knows why if they don't care) to repeatedly ask them 'why do you care?!', 'get over it!!', 'that's not important!!' and make out that they're freaks for caring. I'm not exaggerating, this is what happens...and it is a Big Brother forum, what do you people expect?

As I said, not everybody has to take an interest in how the show is produced, there are two types of fans and the people that take an interest in the production of this show generally take an interest in that kind of thing in TV on the whole (I know I do). But to be continually questioned about why we care when this is a TV forum (and trust me, the conversations would be a lot more in depth in some other TV forums) is just pathetic. If you don't care yourself, leave the thread. Some people do care and have every right to. If people can have anorak-y interests in other things, like football or music...why can't we with TV? People have different interests and that's perfectly fine.

No, casual viewers might not take an interest but that doesn't mean it's not important. If it wasn't important people wouldn't be employed to create as good graphics as they can, people wouldn't be employed to be set designers, people wouldn't be employed to edit the show in certain ways, etc etc. There are jobs in these areas because whether you think it's interesting or not, they are important. Less important than casting, yes, we're not stupid...but important all the same. If a TV show looks tacky and isn't produced well, it reflects badly on the brand, it's common sense really. Much as good product packaging is vital in the marketplace, high production values in television are also essential.

I totally agree, I mean I have absolutely NO complaints with any of the titles and eyes on C4. So I'm not just moaning for the sake of it
