On official forms, where your ethnicity has to be filled in for monitoring purposes, "black" or "mixed" are always separate options.

The trouble is we are all treading eggshells about not saying the wrong thing. Its because people jump on the racist thing at every opportunity... Why did Gina snap at her over it... and make Charlie feel wrong for saying 'mixed race'.... Gina does look mixed race...so what it just a wrong observation... just correct her and stop making stupid issues over stupid things.

Charlie didnt mean any offence...Gina is so up herself perhaps she shouldnt take herself so seriously and lighten up and learn to laugh at herself.....she is completely fake...and her being favorite to win along with Dexter is a joke. Both of them are fake and ingenuine...

Er no she isn't. Cuban isn't black, it is Hispanic. If you told a Cuban they were black you'd get thumped!

Ergo Charlie got it right. Gina may prefer to identify as black, however.

Her mother is black. Gina has the surname Reid (not Rio), which is Scottish not Spanish. Which leads to the suspicion that her dad may be of British origin, not Cuban.

We are all the same race anyway, all from the same place, initially, the rift in eastern africa so why do we have to continue with this talk of separate races ?

I understand the need for some groups who have been racially abused to remind people to stop it happening again, only when needed though,

but f g s we are all the human race from the same rift, we are only different colours or slightly different skull structures because different parts of that initial rift based group settled in different parts of the world for a bit

+ so got more direct sunlight + skin pigmentation than other parts of the initial group who settled in areas where there was less direct sunlight IE not so close to the equator.

Only the fact her surname is British and from a photo it appears her mother is black (presumably Jamaican descent).

But it could all be fake of course!
