Didn't say she was.... in terms of regretting surgery. Let me put it this way:

James was - we have to assume - an unhappy boy. Lauren seems to be an unhappy or at least discontented woman.

Becoming an ersatz female may not have helped. Lauren can never have the full female experience. Genetically she is, and always will be, a man. Her femaleness depends, not only on the radical surgery but (as I understand it) the hormone tablets she will have to take every day until she dies. She can never stop taking them. I suspect some people may not realise this.

I have met a few transsexuals over the years. My impression is that surgery and the daily hormone tablets have NOT provided the answer and that coming to terms with their sexual orientation could have been a happier and less destructive solution. Initially they are thrilled with their new body and gender..... it's a few years down the line they realise they can never be the real thing and they have by then struggled for acceptance. It takes a very special person who will accept a transgendered individual as a sexual partner.

Lauren had the sex change op 15 years ago. She may be at that stage of realisation. I feel a bit sorry for her.

I find nothing at all from her even remotely funny, in fact all through the fist night/day in the temple, she looked bored to tears and out of her depth

I have yet to even smile at any single thing she has said or done so far.
Safe to say she is never going to be one of my likes and I wouldn't be sorry to see her go at the earliest opportunity.

Bending over in the bedroom with a tiny g string on over and over again so everyone can see your starfish is a bit off putting when you have just got in with your late night kebab..if she stops that then I could probably put up with her for a while.

So, Lauren has the brain of a woman, and as much as science will allow, the body of a woman. Making her, in my view, a woman.

Exactly brain scans have been done loads of times which have shown that transgender people have the brains of the gender they feel they are inside.Gender is about the gender of your brain not your body.There is an accident that happens at birth which messes up one of the chromosomes when it should have turned out the other way apart from an accident on the father's side at conception.

Lauren's sex chromosomes, also known as gonosomes, will be XY (male) and not XX (female). No surgery or pills can alter that. She will always be genetically male.

In some extremely rare cases, children are born with genitalia which do not relate to their chromosomes. Or born as hermaphrodites... with male and female sexual organs. However, for most transexuals it is purely psychological.

What is sometimes called a "legal fiction" allows transgendered people to pass as persons who are of the opposite sex of their genetically determined one which cannot ever be changed.

As to Lauren, a couple of people I've spoken to (who remember her as a boy) assumed she's a transvestite!

She will clash with EVERYONE, there is nothing more certain than that! she may be funny to watch but she'd be hell to live with, even for 3 weeks.
